I play on Xbox one but this has been my experience.
A big part are how loud explosives are. Yes, I understand it’s an explosive but the sounds just over power any other movement. Someone can be heard approaching from a far but as soon as explosives are used you obviously can’t hear them get right up in front of you and all of a sudden they are in your 1x1.
A major thing I’ve noticed is when people drop down their footsteps are pretty much silent. So they do that then just crouch walk towards you.
Hearing an opponent breaking a wall right next to you has been like 75% hearing and that 25% is just a surprise because out of nowhere they are just there.
In squads a whole team of 4 can be approaching and you won’t hear all footsteps until they are about three tile spaces from you
I feel like sounds just haven’t been fined tuned and mixed properly when all sounds are occurring. Which seems to be the problem. If you go into creative and try all these things you’re gonna hear most of it properly. In game though when all those sounds are coming together that’s when the problems seem to occur when a lot of people are within close proximity of each other and multiple sounds and audio ques are going off at the same time.
I could go so much more in depth, but I’m working, since I’ve played this game non stop since the end of season 1 and really wish I could just be someone who gives feedback accurately and properly for future updates to the right people instead of a Reddit thread.
