[2021] Would you recommend me to buy this game?

I have seen that since March the number of players has remained between 2000 and 1300 players. I am worried about buying the game and that after 2 months it will end up abandoned, or that the community will be too toxic for the new players.

in case the answer is yes, do you recommend a group or something? I speak French and Spanish very well and in English I have an average level, enough to follow orders and transmit simple ideas (don't ask me to explain the functioning of a nuclear power plant).
