Been seeing a few posts lately being really awful about bits and bobs of the game (i even saw someone calling the devs the r-word), and i thought to myself, "hey, if this was you, you'd drop the development of this out of frustration with the player base".

So i decided to put into words for once what got me into this game, and i realized that i really, really f*cking love this game. The devs did something magic that no other game really did for me, that was making me feel that my actions have weight and value. I like helping people, so having the option to go and be a medic and help my team with supplies is something that makes me really happy and i dont know of any game that is able to do things like this anywhere.

in a society that is every day more individual, in a life where you are slowly more afraid that people are only out for themselves and will f*ck you over if thay can, Foxhole gave me a bit of a heavy reminder that when put out of the world of today, people WILL CHOOSE to HELP each other. I dont think any medic ever thinks to himself "oh i gotta do medi because there wont be shirts for me if i dont" or any logi driver thinks "oh i gotta make supplies so i have enough when i decide to go fight in this place". People dedicate hours and hours to the left click just so others can mammon rush the enemy base like maniacs and its based. People grab a medic dress and medic supplies and go heal their team because they noticed there weren't enough medics in this front. People choose to spend half or more of an hour driving only to drop stuff on a stockpile closer to the frontline NOT EVEN GETTING COMMENDS, because "f*ck it, my team needs this".

I know we all have joked that "yeah foxhole supplies are like communism" but seriously, in a world of game development where most designs are based on the single player environment of play even during multiplayer, the foxhole devs were brave enough to make things like Public, Open and Free stockpiles a core design feature, even before having private stockpiles. We all talk about Alts but we all know that we did some dumbass sh*t when we were Pvts too. Honestly, the devs did and continue to make something amazing out of this game, and no matter the problems we might have with the Tech system, the Alts, the New Logistical meta, the queues, or the vision, or whatever else, we are all playing a game that gives us massive entertainment, that the devs made, out of their own minds, and its great. We wouldn't be playing otherwise.

So i dont know, lets be a bit more calm with our problems, stop calling the devs names out of our frustration, and stop and ponder for a moment that all we have here, we cant take for granted, and we should be thankful. Not saying we shouldnt demand anything, on the contrary, we should, but we should do so out of the love we have for the game and not out of the anger and frustration we have over the issues we face while in the game.

My tank did a 360 into the f*cking river, and i'm not gonna blame the devs for that when i know that without them i would have no tank, no river, and no front to be in. But i will ask for a fix to the collision and driving system because everything i drive in game seems to be cursed. And i do so because i know that will keep making the game great. I love this f*cking game. I never give feedback to anything and here i am, full adhd rant mode.

Thank you Devman. Devman good.

We do games because we love it. As insane and potentially dangerous as it might be to put yourself and your work out there like this, we love it.

We love the game moments that organically apear through the war. Ones that hundreds will remember and moments that only a couple of players will.
We love the players that congratulates us and the ones that complains about us. Sometimes the same person in the same breath.
We love the fanart and the newsletters. The short stories and even the rants. We really love all the things you create and post.

It is truly a crazy thing, making a game like this, at this scale. We are only human. We try our best to make the best experience we can. And with only a dozen or so people, we make mistakes. Of course we do. Lots of them, really. And yes, sometimes reading post after post after post that you are an idiot for doing so and so, and that we don't care because of something, or even that we are lazy for not fixing a known bug can get to you.

But then you read a post like this and it reminds you that everyone complaining is a player that loves your games just as much as you do. They really want it to be the best it can be.

From our part, we are committed to making it the best game we can.
Thank you for your kind words.
Thank you Playerman. Playerman good.

Sappy rant over. Now get back to your trenches, you salty dogs!
