ARMS RACE Arms Race is Foxhole's big summer update and includes a ton of game changing features like an overhauled vehicle system, 24+ new modular variants, the siege and assault tank classes, seaports, a new technology system, and much more!
NEW TANK CLASSES For the first time in almost two years, brand new tank classes are finally being added to the game. This time, they are unique to each of the two factions.
COLONIAL SIEGE TANK The HC-7 "Ballista" is a heavy tank designed to obliterate opposition defenses with its 250mm Hades Mortar Cannon.
WARDEN ASSAULT TANK The Silverhand Mk. IV assault tank is fitted with destructive dual-barrel armaments, and heavy frontal and rear armour. Its 68mm frontal cannon is paired with a lighter 40mm turret.
24+ NEW MODULAR VEHICLES A new modular vehicle system has been implemented, which enables dozens of new vehicle variants to be prototyped and mass produced.
Every vehicle type now has several faction specific variants, featuring different armaments, hull configurations, and other unique attributes.
VEHICLES 2.0 The vehicle system in Foxhole has been overhauled and now includes many new features, mechanics, and improvements.
NEW VEHICLE PHYSICS A new physics engine has been implemented from the ground up, which features a physically accurate driving model that allows for realistic handling, drifting mechanics, and more.
ROAD REVAMP To complement the new physics, every road in the game has been reconstructed with new visuals and new surface types that can impact the speed and handling of your vehicle. The before and after screenshots of the roads can be seen below.
TANK ARMOUR Vehicles now includes a new armour plating system, which supports deflection and penetration mechanics, increasing the depth of tank combat in the game.
VEHICLE SUBSYSTEMS Furthermore, individual subsystems on vehicles can now be disabled. For example, a Tank’s fuel tank can be ruptured, resulting in fuel being rapidly depleted, or it’s track can be disabled, crippling it’s movement capability on the battlefield.
SEAPORT The Seaport acts as a storage and shipping facility for water logistics operations over. Available at every major logistics hub at the coast, the Seaport can store almost any type of crate, vehicle, or mobile structure.
COASTAL GUNS Players can now build and reactivate old Coastal Guns at logistics towns near the sea. They will protect Seaports and shipping lanes against naval attacks.
EMPLACEMENTS New manned weapon emplacements now can be produced and deployed at the front for additional defensive measures. These are manned weapons that can be deployed on the ground or inside new emplacement dugouts that connect to trenches for extra cover.
68mm Anti-Tank Cannon A defensive emplacement against heavily armoured vehicles.
14.5 Anti Infantry Flak Gun An anti-aircraft flak cannon repurposed as a defensive emplacement against infantry.
FIELD ANTI-TANK CANNON These 68mm Field AT guns are the ultimate support weapon for infantry going up against enemy armour. They are a low cost way of countering heavy vehicles at the front line.
REACTIVE TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM Arms Race brings replaces the Tech Tech with a new system that is player directed and non-linear. Players will now choose what technology gets prioritized and can decide to research more advanced technology with a chance of failure. This will help make every war feel unique as the technology you will see on the battlefield will vary each time.
BASE UPGRADES A new Base Upgrade system replaces the old Facility and Efficiency systems. This new system does not require Upgrade Parts or any other grind, and allows base to be upgraded naturally based on existing player activities such as supply, combat, and structure building.
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS All the large towns in the game now have an industrial wing, include all new environmental assets. This includes 2 new Garrisoned building types, a brand new Safe House type, and many other small set pieces.
