From the patch notes:

64-bit clients: Added support for DPI-aware UI scaling. There is now an option in graphics settings to enable/disable it.

Updated cursor art to support DPI-aware UI scaling.

At first I thought it meant we could finally play in 4k without a tiny UI, but it doesn't seem to be the case. So what exactly does this option do?

Just found out why: I had "disable DPI scaling" on Compatibility settings turned on, heh. Thanks for letting me know.

EDIT: Turned it off, but enabling and disabling the option still does nothing. Not sure what's happening...

What is your Display Scaling setting in Windows? From context, it sounds like it's at 100%.

Is the checkbox not supposed to be saved? Since i patched my UI is way too large and unchecking that dpi-scaling solved it for me. But apparently it doesn't save my changes and i have to do it manually every time i start the game.

It should save. I've seen some report that it does, some that it doesn't. We'll investigate.
