Hey lovelies, sometime ago u/MythalsFavor posted about her returned battle with cancer (the post is here for reference). Since then her battle has been hard, she lost function of her legs, relearned to walk and after a complex surgery to remove the cancerous tumour from her spine she spent November and December in a coma; Then she woke up and was completely paralysed. Around a couple of months ago they realised that nothing they did was working, the tumour grew back and then spread more and more. Last week they realised that there were tumours in her brain and she was given a short span to live.

Today, at 11:30am GMT she lost her fight with cancer.

I want to thank this community for being there for her. During times in hospital when she was on chemotherapy or between tests she'd play, with the help of our wonderful guild FGCT she managed to craft Nevermore! They ran a day long champ train and raised in the region of 1.5k gold for her, this past month she even got her hands on Kudzu! She spent the early stages of her cancer grinding the PVP track to get the Tybalt hero and mini (her favourite character). When I talked to her she said the game gave her a sense of freedom that her body couldn't allow anymore, she could run and walk for as long as she wanted and talk to people who knew her as Mythal Ashinne not 'Jessica the cancer patient'.

My thanks really do go out to everyone who interacted with her, to FGCT and PLNT for being there for her and playing with her, to PUG groups who happily took her along in dungeon runs despite interruptions for doctors check ups and for this sub for the words of encouragement that kept her going. Also thank you to the Anet for making this game that brought her so much joy and freedom even in her darkest hours.

I'm sorry if the formatting on this post is all over the place, I'm on mobile.

EDIT: I'm off to try and sleep, functioning on 3 hours since being told yesterday that she wasn't going to make it. I plan to pass all of this on to her parents, thank you so much for your words and condolences. This community truly is utterly remarkable.
