So, I played at launch and LOVED the game. Wasn't too happy with the addition of Ascended gear after the launch. Only big complaint I had. Then FFXIV:ARR came out and the group I was playing with shifted to that and I went there.

So, after a very long break I decided to pop back in. Man, I forgot how expansive the game is. I never logged in to get the free Living Stories, but bought them all. Bought all the expansions and have been playing though everything in order.

I finished Path of Fire last night and started Living Story 4. I was only planning to run a few of the quests and then I got close to the end of Daybreak and HAD to finish that chapter. No spoilers, but I couldn't end the night on that note.

The mounts, the exploration, the alt friendliness with the Mastery system. All so refreshing after playing FFXIV and WoW for years. I still play WoW, but can see myself in Tyria for a long time to come.

The community here is amazing as well. I got pulled into a HP run on HoT and had a blast. Seeing people form squads for Metas, helping with Jumping puzzles. It's such an awesome feeling.

So thank you to ArenaNet for an amazing game, the community for being awesome. I can't wait to finish the rest of the story.

Anyone else back after a long absence and really having a blast?

No long break for me, as it happens, but I'm stoked you dug Daybreak. : )
