The Noble's Folly is a great new addition to the game. Finally an actual Town inside the expansion, and it's quite cozy at that. It feels like a GW1 instance, and ANET even went out of their way to add in lore-relevant NPC dialogue to some NPcs inside the instance. I gotta give ANET some kudos for this.
Special kudos for making it its own instance instead of interrupting the Verdant Brink meta. I cannot emphasize how much I love the Gw1 Outpost feel of this area, and stuff like the Aerodrome. Keep it up, ANET!
A very generous guildie gifted this to me, and I'm enjoying it a lot so far. However, there are issues I must bring up.
Issues:
No music! I got this pass because I absolutely adore Maclaine Diemer and Lena Chapelle's music, but I'm not hearing it! What gives!? Music was the best part of the expansion!
Trade post is waaaaay too far away from Huntsman, Artificing, and Jeweling stations! Why?
Why is the Mystic Forge so far away? The ramp to get up there is too far. Even with the ramp, it would be far. In the Airship and Royal Terrace, the Mystic Forge was right next to them.
Overall, at the end of the day, a city pass is meant to be the ultimate convenience item. However, this pass is inferior to the others in that respect.
Suggestions:
Add the music! I am crying without the music of the Legendary Minstrel Duo to comfort me! Plz, Maclaine Diemer and Lena Chapelle, bless my ears with your glory!
Move the Artificing, Huntsman, and Jeweler stations close to the trade post, or move the Trade post to the center of the room.
Add a ramp for the mystic forge, as seen in this image, opposed to the normal route. http://i.imgur.com/WYOB5eX.jpg
These improvements I feel will improve the map drastically, and put it on par with the other Town Passes.
