[2020] How I got burned out playing and then came back

You know how it works. You got stuck on a routine and you get more bored and tired of doing it.

Do dailies. Do fractals. Daily farm. Daily materials. Buy stuff. Sell stuff. Do a little fashion wars with the same old character you always have. It is all a routine. And you are still BORED. I got sick and tired of this game and I have given up... until 2 days ago.

I saw on Anet's Facebook page a cool Fan art of this cute Asura and I thought to myself "I have never played an Asura". So I hopped back in into the game, created an Asura extremely similar to the one on the fan art and made her a Guardian (my favorite profession). I decided to play slow so I leveled her up to 20 with a scroll and played the personal story. I AM REALLY GLAD I DID! I had the time of my life playing this cute little monster as a low level guardian; exploring and leveling up like it was the first time. I have fallen in love with the game again.

If I can make anything from this experience is that if you feel like you are getting bored and your playtime is getting repetitive try doing something new. It doesn't have to be high level content or hardcore/competitive content... there is new stuff everywhere on this game... in more places that you can imagine. So if you have not played a certain race or if you are missing part of the personal or expansion's story: give it a try! you will be pleased.

Oh, and to all the artist out there: never stop doing amazing artwork! It inspires people in more ways that you can ever imagine!
