This has been bothering me ever since I joined the game. The effects are obvious, at least for charr characters. You can easily compare Steve Blum's original voice if you look back at early trailers to how Rytlock sounds nowadays. I've been wanting to find a way to learn more about how they enhance charr and norn voices, but I have been unable to find anything related to this online. Does anyone have any idea of how the sound designs treats these voices?

The voices are pitched down. The charr have lip and jowl flapping/smacking sounds added to the processing, to account for the charr facial structure (as compared to the human actors). There's also other sounds in the mix, like growls and harrumphs. Drew Cady, our previous Audio Director, created most if not all of the processes that we use.
