[2022] Am I wrong in thinking the game used to look better?

On console. Went on a HLL hiatus about a month ago. I've come back today and I swear everything looks different. I noticed the guns don't look quite as realistic as they did before almost like plastic casts of guns and the environment looks softer.

I know there was an update today but surely that wouldn't cause this right? I know HLL never looked like a triple A title but I swear it looked better than it does rn.
