[2022] Any ETA on enabling EAC for Linux/Steam Deck?

Currently, the game runs fine on Linux, however EAC will kick you out of a lobby after a minute. I think it'd be appreciated if the game supported this, by enabling EAC, especially with the Steam Deck's growing user base.

So far, it's nearly been a year since Epic added the ability to enable EAC to run under Proton. There have been a couple of posts on this subreddit asking for it. But as far as I know, no words from the developers on this subject.

I don't imagine enabling EAC is as simple as flipping a switch for this game, but I feel like it would be worth the trouble for Steam Deck support at least.
