Last night I joined a random squad. The SL told us upfront he was hacking using aimbot and walls. He ended up getting TONS of kills. I honestly had no idea hacks even existed in this game. I ended up switching to another squad and told someone, who eventually communicated it to an admin who banned him.

This is VERY problematic. The games design makes it extremely difficult, or even downright impossible to even realize there's a hacker on the other team. You can't tell who's killing you or the circumstances. Hell, the only reason I knew he was hacking was because he told me, and then I had to go out of my way to try and get him kicked and banned. So if someone is hacking you have to pray that someone on their team notices and cares enough to do something.

Oof, uncontrolled hacking killed Warzone. It will kill HLL too. Devs better get on top of this.

Simply report any activity to the server admin. You should be able to type !admin in the chat. Most servers have admins and moderators, they can request a VAC ban or issue a server ban right away. Dont worry, just report so admins and mods can use the admin cam to track down and investigate the player.

But if you're on the other team you probably won't even notice there's a hacker, since it's generally impossible to tell who exactly killed you. Believe me, I love the fact that the enemy team is nameless as it really immerses you, but it's definitely a disadvantage in terms of spotting hackers. Right now you would have to hope someone on their team notices and takes care of it on their end.

You are still on the same server. If you think there is any strange activity, just flag it with the admins. Many active and well moderated servers will be on it in seconds and have the person prema-yeeted right after.

Uhhhhh.....

Steam are the only people that can issue VAC bans? That seems like an awful lot of power to leave to some rando that starts a server. Abusive admins exist, and I doubt steam would give them the power to ban from every VAC secured server on steam.

Ah, lets clarify that. Only EAC and ofcourse Steam can issue VACs based on players and admins their reports and evidence. Thats why its so important to report any activity. Admins can only ban from servers and they can request a VAC when needed, not perform one.

that's not really a solution though, how can you know for sure it's a aimbot or that they can see through walls or whatever and aren't just a good player.... unless they're super obvious and reckless about it you'll never know, you can be suspicious but there's a certain taboo about crying about suspected cheaters in games, especially this one for some reason. Same goes with the stream sniping/map sharing problem with this game, idk why were' able to switch teams so easily you should be locked in once you pick a side

game should have anti-cheat stuff built into it

This isnt true, some of the statements. EAC is always on, at all times, watching over us all.

Secondly stream sniping and map sharing is impossible to fix by developers of any game, youd need to then prevent streamers from streaming. There however is the option for any streamer to enable the option to hide their tactical map from the stream.

Thirdly, if you feel like there was no one around, just report this to a admin. They have all the options to watch over your digital shoulder and to make sure you get shot in a legit digital way.

Hi, I'm from the latam community, it's super small but every night 2 or 3 LATAM servers are always full, but they are official servers, there are no admins there.

I haven't found a hacker yet, or at least not noticed, but what measures can we take if there is something suspicious?

I hope there are LATAM community servers, but nothing I can do there. If things spiral down, do urgently raise this with moderators in Discord.
