There are many areas where we can benefit from Riot's decade long operational experience. They can support us in areas where we are almost clueless which will in turn improve the first experience all of you make when you get your hands on @Hytale.

Honestly with @Noxywoxy as our CEO and the people we met at Riot, I don't see us change our spirit as one of the most player-focused studios out there. In contrast, they were very open to helping us when needed and otherwise empower our strengths.

There is also the relationship of me personally with Hypixel and my 6 year long journey. I've taken a lot of risk in the past, like leaving university during the EULA apocalpyse - just because I believed in the vision and spirit of the company.

I totally understand when the first reaction from someone to an acquisition is pessimistic, I am guilty of that myself. Especially in gaming and sports our relationships with companies become personal. We spend so much time as a fan and/or player that it gets emotional.

First of all this entire process has been exceptional, especially the way we were treated as employees and contractors. There has been an incredible level of transparency and visibility throughout the entire process by @Noxywoxy and @Simon_Hypixel.

The acquisition by Riot Games has been such an amazing and much needed development in our company's history. I'd like to give some personal thoughts as someone working on Hytale and Hypixel for 6 years. Thread 👇

I've personally never had the feeling that either of them were willing to sacrifice an inch of our company's spirit which was the foundation of our journey to even start Hytale and get here. This has lead to many decisions you can find in our FAQ:

@Simon_Hypixel We owe you alot Simon. You'll always be my chief. Thanks need to go to both you and @Noxywoxy for getting me back on the horse. It's been brilliant. Awakened in me a passion I thought I had to let go. I'll never forget that.

This happened, really big day for us at @Hypixel ! The possibilities this partnership unlocked for us are just insane, on the way to make @Hytale an even better experience than ever.

On a personal level, being CEO for both Hytale and the MC Server for the past few years have been really challenging for my family, health, and friends. Now is a great opportunity for me to work on this and spend more time with the community, advise on Hytale the best I can!

A few years ago, Noxy convinced me to invest in what would become Hytale. At that time, we had no idea, no plans but I knew that with our shared values, passion and goals, it would just work somehow. Sometimes you have to invest in people you believe in.

Let me just say, Noxy is the most passionate, kind and hard-working guy I have ever met in my lifetime. The community is super important for him and we couldn’t have asked for a better leader for Hytale, I’m so happy for him to take on this challenge!

Congratulation to my best friend @Noxywoxy for his new role as CEO at Hypxiel Studios and the partnership with @riotgames! I’m sure it has been emotionally overwhelming for you today and I simply want to say I love you man!

With all my heart, I believe that Hytale will be the game the community deserves - the Hytale team is super passionate about the game, they work hard and they care a lot. I couldn’t be more proud of what they have achieved in the past few years.

Thanks all for the support on the news. Overwhelmed... I thought the team had already seen to it that I was all dried up, but the outreach from community, family etc has caused me in a permanent misty eyed state.
