Originally posted by DocAceZ: This alone is most likely one of the WORST ideas to date for this game. You activate the "most requested change" in the game since its release and you make it a local save so the ONLY way you can play with another person is if the ORIGINAL CREATOR OF THE WORLD is online. It's bad enough that this STILL does not have dedicated servers (*ya, ya I know you're working on it) that we can host and/or play on BUT you make open world survival mode A LOCAL SAVE to the original world creator's PC. So when PLAYER 1 has to get off to eat his din-din, player 2 has to get off as well and can NOT go back into the world because it's on PLAYER 1's DAMN COMPUTER! And when Player 1 is at work, player 2, 3, 4 can't play the stupid game, why - - BECAUSE IT'S ON PLAYER ONE'S HARD DRIVE. Who in your planning department came up with this little ditty - FIRE THEM. We re-installed this game based on the new mode and the ONLY reason it's still on our hard drives is the possibility of 1) You coming to your senses and making this mode a cloud save for CO-OP players, and the hope dedicated servers are coming. If there is no word on that other than it's coming soon. uninstalled it goes again.
While it would be lovely to be able to make this a P2P server-based connection, this is not only incredibly expensive but would put a mountain of strain on our servers that would make it unviable to produce and execute effectively :(

I can empathise with your concern, but it's a payoff that we had to take, and one that ultimately provides a lot more pros than cons, particularly for the future of Icarus and where we can take things from here
