After our database maintenance last night, we had reports this morning of long delays for some players trying to leave/save their prospect. This has been resolved via a further update to the database, so no download required.

@TotallyNormal13 @rocket2guns If you look at your download window in Steam you'll see the actual updates are <100MB, but Steam has to then unpack your installed game (50GBs) and apply it, before verifying afterwards.
