Hey everyone, please try to be respectful when talking about topics such as this. There are median earnings in each country, but there are still those that earn more or less than that.

I might be wrong but I believe we put in our price for Icarus in USD and let Valve's pricing tool calculate all other foreign market prices. Their tool is what most developers use and is recommended.

This tool then works horribly wrong.

regular price is $29.99 with actual 10% discount at $26.99
that should be
around 27.05 Swiss franc at regular price and 24.34 CHF with 10% discount
but it is 30 at Full price and 27 with discount.
buying it in € would be way cheaper, or even in $

I can't imagine that the publishers don't know that Steam doesn't use real exchange rates, but instead passes on massive markups to the customers.

The tool is common industry practice, but your concerns are heard! For now, this is unlikely to be changing, but if it ever does we'll be sure to let the community know!
