[2019] Please take saves out of the registry

As someone who has lost many saves to corruptions and bugs, I love the ability to sync game saves to my dropbox. Unfortunately I cant, unless I want to export from regedit constantly.

I've never seen a game that stores player data in the registry before. Why is this the case?

Hey there,

So to answer the question of 'why', currently the game is just placing save files in the default location for the engine we're using.

I'll speak with the team about the feasibility of moving it. If doing so would necessitate a wipe then it may not happen for a while.
