719s the term evade they and not Dodge roll
721s if possible or both but um we really
724s want to push the idea that this is
726s um it doesn't have eye frames and um the
732s the term Dodge rooll I think sort of
734s implies that it has ey so so in order to
737s make people not uh so if someone just
740s like comes into the R into red or comes
742s into the forums and like checks it out
744s and leaves we want to make sure that
745s it's that they that that that
747s information is understood and it is
748s really easy to explain what it is at a
751s core um by using the term Dodge roll cuz
753s it's a more common mechanic and it's 99%
756s that
757s um and and we did put it on the uh on
760s the road map at in parenthesis and so
763s it's it's a bit of a gray area but let's
765s let's try and get the let's TR it the
766s ter of vade out there as the the ter
768s using for it and we just got to be
769s different don't

783s clunky but um if we're going to talk
785s about how I'm feeling about the the
787s evade mechanic I almost said Dodge roll
788s myself if we're going talk about the
789s evade mechanic um I'm very pleased about
792s it it's also the the animation is unique
793s so it's not a role for every character
795s either so part of the reason why we're
797s calling evade too it's not physically a
799s role
801s necessarily
803s um as far as uh how I'm feeling about
806s the mechanic itself I'm feeling
807s fantastic about the mechanic itself it's
809s it it is one of those things that I I
811s was there was a lot of us that were
813s firmly in Camp no no Dodge roll no vade
817s um and you know we we got in there we
821s tried it uh it's just
824s fun like even if you change nothing else
826s it's just fun doesn't really have a huge
829s impact on the actual like mechanics of
832s most fights cuz like if you're using
833s that you're not attacking so like it
835s it's not just like an always better
837s thing to do um
840s and it's it's not like you always have
841s to do it but it it just feels like
844s combat flows a little bit better it just
846s feels like you're you're not
850s um I don't know you're not starved for a
853s a a quick repositioning in the
855s battlefield where you're like oh I wish
857s I could take like a quick step that way
859s without um without having to just like
862s and and like walking would be a little
863s would feel a little cumbersome and I
865s don't want to burn my movement ability
866s on just walking to the left a little bit
869s um and and this dodge roll just really
871s it I don't it fits nicely it just feels
873s good so um and when I was writing that
877s post that was one thing I tried to
878s emphasize at the start was that the the
879s focus of this is is flow and feel just
882s like how how combat feels when youing is
885s the main goal for this
887s change I think that's something that we
889s get uh pretty significant feedback on
891s too is the the the quality of Our Moment
894s to moment combat feel as being um maybe
898s something that we need to work on in
899s General and I think this is a really
901s good step in the right direction for
902s that um and you know as as always we're
906s very very very open to feedback and um I
910s really encourage people to like once
911s they get their hands on it
914s um you know like give if you're if
916s you're really excited about it or you're
917s really dreading it either way like once
919s you get your hands on it let us know how
921s how it uh compared to your expectations
923s and and um how it feels after that I
926s think that would be really really
927s useful for us it would be really useful
930s I think for the game would be really

969s for everything and I'm like several
971s pieces through of just being like well
972s that's not going to work at all after I

979s behind first cycle the current ones
981s seems to be 5 months based on recent
983s trailer uh it's it's 4 and a half I'll
986s give you I'll give you four and a half
988s um but it's just two weeks past the the
990s the 4mon Mark um should we expect the
994s Cycles to last 5 months and not 3 to
996s four months instead no you should expect
997s them the last three four months um what
999s is Random Encounters Nemesis it is um
1006s a I it's I don't know how much how how
1009s much detail I can actually go into about
1011s what it is and how it functions and all
1012s sort of stuff
1014s um I would say it is the the easiest way
1018s to describe it is the next
1020s um mechanic along the
1022s same um overarching weight as Exel Mages
1028s so it is um it it integrates itself into
1033s the uh the overall end game and there's
1036s cool stuff that happens and it is of
1039s similar weight and it it starts
1042s happening um pretty early in your
1044s experience overall and like it's
1046s something that is relevant later on in
1047s your experience as well so it's it's
1049s like it's another piece of that like
1051s unexpected content that we've been uh
1053s working into the
1055s game and there's there's going to be
1057s there's going to be a full Dev post on
1059s dev blog post on on what that is how it
1061s works um how you can interact with it
1063s all that sort of stuff um it's going to
1065s be a lot of fun it's it's it's a it's a
1067s neat mechanic it's kind of I think it's
1069s very us like it's
1073s um uh I don't think you're going to
1075s quite I think I think people will be
1077s surprised and pleased with the uh with
1079s what ends up coming from that but I
1080s can't really go into full details yet
1081s cuz we are still uh fine-tuning some
1083s details and uh making sure that
1086s the uh it just flows nicely I
1092s guess uh for serpent strike has your
1094s team consider branching uh Branch off
1096s paths for uh for the skill like viper
1098s strike or uh boa squeeze or boa squeeze
1102s or Cobra spear different snake
1105s animations I think that'd be' be really
1106s cool um we we've definitely talked about
1108s like whenever we're designing an ability
1111s there is um it kind of starts with a
1114s brainstorming
1115s phase and that um so Ser strike is crazy
1119s old so I don't remember the meeting we
1121s had when we first started designing that
1122s but I do know that every single skill
1124s we've designed in that brainstorming
1126s phase there's dozens and dozens of
1128s ridiculously cool and wacky ideas that
1131s were just
1132s like it would be cool if we could do it
1135s but we can't really do it can we and so
1138s that's what they die that's for most of
1139s the those ideas just like wither
1143s um yeah we want
1146s that uh but yeah there's there's there's
1149s I there's there's there's definitely um
1151s creative and mechanical and functional
1154s and power room for serpent strike to do
1157s cool stuff

1266s down or recording it from seeing that
1268s which I know sounds ridiculous but if I
1270s wrote down every bug that someone showed
1271s up to stream with I would just be here
1273s writing out
1274s bugs and that's
1277s boring uh any chance will you add
1279s something to change the melee Cinder
1281s strike to a throwing attack I'd say it's
1284s very unlikely uh it does already have um
1288s a throwing up ility built into it so uh
1292s a full sale conversion eh it's pretty
1295s unlikely it it also fits is uh sort of a
1298s a triangle with flurry and
1302s puncture I'd say it's more likely that
1304s you would see a new throwing ability
1306s first um before before that got throwing
1309s but maybe who
1313s knows I think if we if we were going to
1315s do that as a throwing ability it would
1316s likely be an item that did it I think if
1319s we were there's no plans to do uh Mike
1322s how's your back my back is recovering I
1325s say my back is about uh 95% recovered I
1328s still it's
1330s still that still
1332s hurts when I stretch forward to the
1347s left it is nice to have enough health
1349s insurance to be able to go get a massage
1351s when you need it
1353s though my goodness doesn't
1357s help but's only have my ear I can't hear
1359s out of this ear right now like at all
1361s I'm just like I don't know what's going
1370s on uh regarding then the endgame
1373s Pinnacle Boss Next cycle will there be
1375s anything exclusive items tied to them
1379s and how do you account for the more
1380s casual player that might not be able to
1382s do Pinnacle bosses I hope there won't be
1385s too much fear of missing out
1387s in this is a tri trick this is a very
1390s tricky and delicate balance to achieve I
1392s agree um I don't think so so given the
1396s stats that we've looked at um with with
1400s our the like the players that we've uh
1402s got in the game and and the the stats on
1404s like um who's killing which boss and all
1406s that sort of stuff if we
1410s um I think there might be a little bit
1411s of a
1413s misconception um or mis uh disagreement
1417s on like where the line on the term
1418s casual is if we're going to like if
1420s we're going to like put a line on how
1422s far a character gets as like well
1423s anything that can't do this is casual
1425s anything that can do this is like
1427s hardcore or like try hard and then
1429s everyone who does this is like no lifing
1431s it if we're going to put like lines on
1432s the progression map
1435s um like casual is probably like the the
1439s line of like casual to to like a a more
1442s of a tryhard player is like did you
1443s complete the campaign or not
1446s like you know uh if we're still going to
1448s go for like extreme majority like did
1450s you complete a monolith map like did you
1454s beat any timeline boss you are still
1458s you're you're you're like you're way
1459s above 50% I think like it's it's just I
1463s I don't I I haven't seen those numbers
1464s exactly but they're very um I do know
1468s that they're very sided in how far most
1470s people actually get into the end game I
1473s think there's a bit of a misconception
1474s there on how far it actually is um but
1479s so we people who are uh we're designing
1482s the Pinnacle content such that if you
1484s are like I maybe I don't have a long
1486s time to play every day but like I'm
1489s going to invest emotional or
1491s intellectual energy in doing this and
1493s like I'm I'm I'll be able to get there
1495s eventually type thing um it is designed
1499s as you know Pinnacle content so like if
1501s you're not able to complete what's
1503s already there as extremely hard static
1506s content um you know you're you're you're
1509s going to have a really long uh road
1511s ahead of you for um for completing the
1514s Pinnacle boss right like because the
1515s Pinnacle boss is is it's it's a step up
1518s from T4 JRA it is harder you know I I I
1520s think most people would be like well
1522s obviously but a tiny percentage of
1525s players kill T4 drw right so it's um it
1528s is tricky there and so one of the things
1530s we're trying to do is have the entire um
1534s the entire content be have have
1537s different stages of achievements and
1539s accomplishments so there are like the
1542s the the the Nemesis encounters tie into
1543s all of this and um that is one sort of
1547s stage of the accomplishments is you know
1550s like there's different stuff there that
1552s I can't talk about specifically but like
1554s doing those things is part of the stages
1555s of accomplishments of these of this new
1557s content that's coming out so there's
1558s stuff to do even if you're never going
1559s to hit and there's and there's there's
1561s relevant rewards for doing that content
1563s even if you're never going to make it to
1564s the Pinnacle
1565s boss let alone beat it um and like
1569s there's other bosses too and there's
1571s other challenges too like there's
1572s there's other things that happen so like
1574s the the harbingers that you see in there
1576s um you know all all that stuff is it's a
1578s it's a progressive system that is um
1581s that there are different levels of
1582s achievements that happen and there's um
1584s and you you you can like opt into harder
1586s and harder stuff and and this is this
1587s it's this idea of
1589s um you know players having room to
1592s challenge harder and harder content and
1595s uh still feeling rewarded for completing
1597s what they can complete but uh there
1599s there is there is stuff that I think
1602s there already is stuff that the majority
1603s of players won't ever be able to finish
1606s um which I know sounds kind
1609s of um bad
1612s maybe but I don't see a way that we
1614s could possibly make the hardest boss in
1617s the game the the PIN IAL achievement
1619s boss in the
1620s game uh not be too hard for some players
1624s like like that that's I think that's
1625s just a a a given of the situation and
1627s it's sort of like okay how now how hard
1629s do we actually make it um and that's
1632s something that we are really trying to
1633s be careful about and fine tune and
1636s um I I think it's something that we're
1638s going to get a lot of feedback on and
1640s adjust going forward too it's not
1641s something that and I say this basically
1643s every time we introduce a new system
1644s it's probably not something we're going
1645s to get perfect on the first try um and I
1648s and I hope we've we've shown that we are
1650s prepared to make changes if what we're
1653s doing isn't working but I'm quite
1655s confident that the system is Rock Solid
1658s um we just kind of got to see how people
1659s feel about the difficulty I
1663s think and and CU there's also there's
1665s different types of difficulty that comes
1666s in with systems like this like you're
1668s design like the the big part of the
1670s endgame content of this boss is how hard
1673s is this fight how hard is this boss
1674s fight like there is a culmination Point
1676s um that there's not a lot of uh time
1679s really in in that there's not a lot of
1681s stages uh there there's not like there
1685s it's it's a it's a big fight there's
1686s stages of the fight but like there's not
1689s uh um like session SP like gameplay
1693s session
1694s spanning stages is what I'm trying to
1697s get at so so you're you're like when you
1698s go into that final boss you're either
1699s finishing that final boss or you're not
1701s um you're not getting part way and then
1703s being like okay well I'll come back and
1704s finish the rest of it later which is the
1707s type of stuff that happens when you
1709s are working through the other parts of
1712s that system and this is I'm really just
1713s Hing with like Pinnacle boss systems in
1716s general in RPGs right now don't have
1718s nothing really specific to
1726s us oh yeah we're going down
1729s there get me in that Lake all right I
1735s know like rambling on these questions

1738s questions people are asking here now

1816s it's a game that I currently really
1822s love uh which initially I bounced off of

1826s hard to the point where I was like I
1829s didn't really look at any reviews
1830s initially played it and went well never
1834s going to hear about this game again and
1835s walked away from it and then was like oh
1836s I am horribly
1838s wrong now I really like it
1842s though uh all right uh really hyped I
1846s still haven't beaten her yet I I I I
1849s started putting down I'm probably going
1850s to go on Elder ring rant I put down
1851s little pins on the map to record how
1853s many times I tried her um everyone knows
1856s who I'm talking about if you've tried it
1858s uh and I I broke 300 attempts failed
1861s attempts um and that's that's what I
1863s gave up so I still hav it beaten there
1866s one
1867s day uh really hyped for the road map and
1870s every single thing mentioned there love
1872s Ellie so much any possibility for the
1874s trans system to be Ed earlier than 1.4
1876s um I mean like there's always chances
1878s for movement on the on the road map that
1880s was a huge part of that posst is us
1882s being like you know this is not set in
1884s stone it's going to change um so so
1890s baby
1893s um I
1895s uh I'd be I'd be pretty shocked if that
1897s one moved up um that's technically
1902s possible don't get your hopes up on that
1908s though it's a it's a pretty humongous
1910s system um
1920s that I it's one of those systems it's
1922s it's really tricky oh my goodness it's
1925s it's really tricky system because um for
1927s some people it's like the game isn't
1931s complete without it like it's it's it's
1934s really really really important and for
1936s other peoples um it's it's just
1940s like okay who cares you know so it's um
1945s it is tricky to find time to to put
1948s system like that
1950s in um when when we when we still have um
1954s systems that are needing help uh that
1957s affect everyone quite
1967s heavily okay uh will you guys be opening
1970s a merch shop I'd love to to buy an
1973s official Le sweatshirt or t-shirt from
1975s you guys me too uh would be another
1978s great way to let us help fund the game
1980s we love yeah uh we're we're working on

1983s um I I know there's some some trial

1990s um I think there's some adjustments
1992s happening type thing I I I don't know

2020s to bring me a shirt back this time I'm

2069s missed that um I think uh I I I don't
2075s see an end to uh the B fun in in last
2080s EPO so I I I think eventually there's um
2084s there's definitely B themed stuff that
2086s never quite made it past the Cutting
2088s Room floor um I think we'll I we'll see
2091s more of it in the future but I don't I

2146s re-engagement tool

2176s I those moments you remember a task that
2179s you have waiting for you

2199s it's supposed to say uh with with evade
2201s uh did I do it right uh close
2204s enough uh it speeds up combat and
2207s requires reaction time is that
2209s considered uh and have you discussed an
2211s AutoCast for slow pokes Among
2216s Us AutoCast how you'd AutoCast that uh
2219s no there's there's I I I don't know how
2221s you'd AutoCast that
2225s um
2227s the I I think the speed that it moves at
2233s is

2238s like there there's there's not really a
2241s gigantic shift in Reaction Time
2244s expectations here I think that I
2246s understand the fear for that
2248s um and and if it's too much for you like
2252s bring us the feedback and and let us
2254s know but um I I don't think it's going
2257s to be as I think if you have the
2259s reaction time to play the game as it is
2261s now you have the reaction time to play
2262s it with Dodge wall to I don't or evade
2265s sorry oh my
2266s goodness uh see yeah I I I don't think
2270s there's I I I hear the fear um and I'd
2274s like to reassure you that it's it's I
2278s don't think you're going to have a
2279s problem with it I don't know anything
2280s about you personally and there are some
2281s people out there that it will be too
2282s fast for I'm sure um I suspect that it's
2285s already too fast for almost all of those
2293s people with the game as a whole all
2297s right is there going to be a cool down
2298s to evade mechanic yeah there's um it all
2302s of the very specific cooldown details
2304s are listed on the Forum post um which I
2308s can just go right to right
2311s now uh

2318s just go through real quick I'm just GNA

2341s bar by default there's I you may have to
2344s reset your key bindings if you're
2345s already using default or something like

2347s something else um it's the the right
2350s face button on controller uh it is it
2353s sits it sits on your action bar so it
2356s doesn't or it sits by your by your town
2358s portal um and menu buttons here near
2361s your Mana so it does not take up one of
2362s your action slots um the cool down is 4
2365s seconds you have two charges
2368s um so you can use it back toback in
2370s Rapid succession but then you have to
2371s wait four seconds for the first charge
2373s to come back and another 4 seconds for
2374s the second charge to come
2376s back so you're using it twice every
2378s eight seconds roughly
2381s um and uh it does get increased cool
2385s down recovery speed so that time goes
2387s down as you level up um it is affected
2390s by increased cool down recovery speed
2391s stat so if you have increased cool
2393s recovery speed um you can get it quite
2396s low so we have the details on if you're
2398s level 100 um and you have 0% coold down
2401s recovery speed uh just the natural
2404s cooldown base will be 3 seconds if you
2406s have 50% increased cool down recovery
2408s speed on your items or stats or passives
2411s or whatever um and you're level 100 uh
2414s your cool down on it will be 2 seconds
2416s 100% CDR 1.6 seconds so it does the
2419s effect of increased cooldown recovery
2421s speed um has diminishing returns on
2425s everything um which includes evade so
2428s you are never going to get your cool
2430s down of your evade down so low that
2432s you're just roll roll roll roll roll
2434s roll roll roll roll um but you can get
2436s it down to a point where it's basically
2438s always available to you um because
2439s you're not using it 100% of the
2443s time
2445s um yep it's independent cool down from
2448s traversal skills and uh as I said they
2450s recharge sequentially not simultaneously
2453s has no skill tree um this this is an
2455s important one here I think um
2458s it terrible
2465s little
2467s much more adequate is
2471s um it's a
2475s um things can trigger it it can trigger
2478s things like it can have interactions
2479s with stuff and and and all that sort of
2481s stuff it's an ability all all that good
2482s stuff and we're we're going to we're
2484s going to do stuff to it with items and
2486s and passives and places and you know
2489s we're going to we're going to work in
2490s interactions and get that that class
2492s theming that class
2495s um juice into it with uh with other
2499s sources we really considered using a
2501s skill tree for this and we prototyped
2503s some skill trees for it but we found
2504s there were so many nodes in that skill
2507s tree system um when you have the same
2509s base skill so many nodes were just like
2514s um exactly it goes a little bit farther
2517s cool Downs a little bit like less like
2518s there just it's basically the exact same
2520s core functionality and so we we took a
2521s lot of that functionality that would
2522s have just been like everything would
2524s have wanted it and just worked it into
2525s like the base functionality of the skill
2527s and then the more uh class specific
2529s interesting ones we work into the uh
2533s supplementary ways you can affect your
2534s character like through items and
2536s passives and all sort of stuff um the
2538s only other important thing is the uh
2540s distance that the uh that the evade
2544s takes you does not is that's static that
2546s does not change but the speed that you
2548s can evade with the duration that you are
2550s in the evade animation uh does go down
2553s with your movement speed so that you're
2554s never actually going slow like the we
2556s had an issue before we had this where um
2559s if you had a ton of increased move speed
2561s rolling actually was slower than just
2563s walking um so it does scale with your
2566s movement speed so you can get quick
2568s rolls and and haste temporary speed
2571s Buffs like haste do apply so there's
2574s there's the full details on and some
2576s background information on the
2581s bate uh hope
2584s that reassured you a little bit any
2587s plans to reduce some of the one-hot
2589s mechanics or the spiky damage from some
2591s mob bosses or are we expected to uh even
2595s more with the introduction of aade
2596s mechanic I I don't think that the the
2598s rate that you'll see uh mechanics like
2600s that changes too much with the addition
2603s of aade um I understand the concern
2606s there but um it is it is it is something
2609s that we will only and this is the last
2611s paragraph of that post that I was just
2613s uh talking about um we talked about all
2616s this where it's basically saying like um
2619s we we we might use it uh we might not
2621s use it on On Any Given fight it's got
2623s It's got to make sense for that fight in
2625s order for us to use it it's not just
2627s like uh well every boss is like this now
2629s deal with it
2632s um and uh I I think that some love the
2639s like there are I think the actual
2641s like um I use the ter yeah like true
2644s one-hot mechanics in boss fights it's
2648s it's actually pretty few and far between
2650s like most of them if you're if you if
2652s you want to build your character in such
2653s a way that you can tank those effects
2655s most of them can be tanked um you know
2658s like there's there's some
2661s uh uh like like mechanically intentional
2665s like this is a one shot unless use it
2666s like T4 Jewel run that's a one shot
2668s unless you use the Ability we gave you
2670s now the the reaction time and lead up to
2674s that one is like what four seconds like
2676s that was so huge right so that can't
2679s count for for any sort of like twoo Fast
2682s One-Shot mechanics got to avoid you know
2684s like like the leadup is so long um the
2689s lightless arbor one is reliable so if
2690s you just learn the fight you can avoid
2691s it um uh lagon is reliable so you're
2694s still in the fight you can avoid it like
2696s these aren't things that you need High
2697s reaction times too this just um like
2699s experience and uh like it it does
2703s require some reaction time all sort of
2705s stuff but I don't know it's
2707s um I I don't think there's a lot of
2710s naturally like this is a one-hot
2712s mechanic um actually exists in the loss
2715s fights I think that once you get
2716s into um there are some here and there
2720s and most of the time I think when it
2722s happens is it's just like your character
2724s might not be tanky enough type thing
2726s like this isn't designed as a one shot
2727s mechanic but your character is just a
2728s glass Cannon I think that happens a fair
2730s bit I think there's also situations
2732s where um that's that's not bad either I
2735s want say it's bad that's just like if if
2737s your character is going to be focused on
2738s offense like you've got to be prepared
2739s to um not get hit you know which is
2743s really tough sometimes and um I think
2748s that
2750s the
2755s uh what was I going to say I can't
2757s remember the oh yeah um I think a lot of
2759s abilities that that are not designed as
2762s one shot mechanics they not expected for
2763s you to be able to necessarily Dodge them
2765s every single time um once corruption
2769s gets pushed with some of these builds
2770s that can push corruption so unbelievably
2773s ridiculously high um these these there
2777s there's abilities that started out as
2778s supposed to be like this is going to hit
2781s you hard but it's not going to probably
2782s ever kill you abilities that turn into
2785s this thing's going to kill you pretty
2787s well the matter what because the
2788s corruption is just so much higher than
2790s we ever expected people to get
2793s to some of the balance kind of goes a
2797s little haywire when these multipliers
2798s get a little crazy High um which is
2801s something we're looking at but I think
2802s that's I think that last one is probably
2806s um uh I I would say a significant source
2810s for extremely skilled players of of when
2813s these things are happening so if you're
2814s if you fall into that extremely skilled
2816s player and extremely high farming player
2818s uh category um you're probably
2820s experiencing that last
2824s one once we get the balance under
2826s control better won't happen as
2829s much all right so has Kane managed to
2832s successfully argue for more be's in 1.1
2835s has he used his internal B budget until
2837s 1.3 and
2840s Beyond I don't know I'm
2845s sorry there's no major beam mechanics
2848s coming in 1.1 I can see unless I miss
2864s something
2867s so differentiations this version of
2870s evade versus all previous prototype
2871s versions of it that changed everyone's
2874s stance on it
2875s um I think think
2879s the I think a big part of it is we're
2881s just better at making abilities now um
2886s and uh so it just like it felt more
2889s polished more early on in the uh in in
2892s the process I think I think the that
2894s that polish feel has a lot of uh of
2897s impact on on your perception of it so I
2899s think that had a big part of it
2902s um I think that there is I think it's
2906s also the rest of the game around
2907s it
2910s um that that that changed a
2917s lot
2918s um I think we we we always had one just
2922s one charge on it by default
2925s before I think having that second charge
2927s really made a big impact
2930s um so I think the old versions were
2932s focusing too much on trying to make it
2935s um with with that skill tree and one of
2938s one of the big challenges when we're
2939s when we're making skills that have skill
2941s trees is uh that balance between um
2947s how like like the the base skill versus
2949s the fully Ked out version of it and
2951s having that base skill feel good and
2955s having that fully Ked out version not
2957s feel unbelievably over overpowered but
2960s still having there be a significant um
2964s evolution in that skills functionality
2966s and feel as you're going going through
2967s that skill tree so if the um if the base
2971s version is you know not not enough it
2974s just feels kind of sucky to use at the
2975s start then
2977s um then people won't experiment with the
2979s ability they'll put on their bar they'll
2981s try it out and they'll walk away from it
2983s this just skills in general um which
2985s isn't great we don't like that um and
2988s then there's uh so in order to combat
2991s that you you bump up the base power
2993s levels the base functionality all that
2995s sort of stuff um and
2998s then you you you look at the the final
3001s version and you're like if if that's got
3003s too much going on um you you you rain it
3006s in a little bit you you Nerf the the top
3007s end on a little bit and as the um as as
3011s those two things get closer and closer
3012s together the the space that you have to
3016s um to work with for that uh that that
3019s power transition that complexity
3021s transition in the skill as you're going
3023s through through that skill tree it
3024s shrinks and each node becomes less and
3026s less impactful the power budget you have
3027s for each no becomes less and
3030s less um and I think
3032s because of uh because I think evade
3036s especially is a very um it's a little
3038s bit a different beast from other
3040s abilities I think we were trying to
3041s treat it too much like a normal ability
3043s when we were trying to make it the first
3045s time first couple times really um and I
3048s think
3049s we we we we had issues on all three of
3052s those points um and just removing the
3054s skill tree completely I think really
3057s helped a
3067s lot all right how does an endgame boss
3070s differ from a pinnacle boss um I think I
3075s think there's a lot of terminology that
3077s really doesn't mean that much um in in
3082s my mind personally the difference
3083s between a pinnacle boss and an endgame
3085s boss is a pinnacle boss is whatever the
3088s hardest endgame boss is is the Pinnacle
3092s boss so I think Pinnacle is a subset of
3094s end game um upset of
3100s one
3108s um I think I think uh like onade like
3110s right there when the Exile Mage is using
3112s that attack that's going around um you
3115s know like like you can evade through it
3117s and it doesn't actually stop you from
3119s taking damage but because you spend less
3120s time in the damage um cuz it's a DOT you
3123s take less damage overall I think little
3126s things like little interactions like
3127s that have a pretty big impact on
3130s the the feel of it and make it feel like
3133s you're like you're doing stuff to to
3136s take less damage in combat but it's not
3138s like and you are which is great but it's
3140s it's not like if you don't do that
3142s there's no way you can beat the fight so
3144s I think that's the the style of things
3146s we're really hoping to to feel better
3147s about in
3150s combat uh why didn't you guys show the
3153s 1.5 cycle um it's too far out uh it's
3157s not solid enough we're not as confident
3158s in what it's going to be the the plans
3160s for 1.5 are a little bit more nebulous a
3162s little more skeleton you may noticed you
3163s may have noticed that like
3164s 1.4 um didn't have like set names for
3167s things as much um then than 1.1 through
3170s 1.3 so like as you get further away from
3172s where we are like we have plans we we
3174s sort of like we we know the style of
3176s thing we want to put in there um but
3178s there's less
3180s hard uh like this is the name of it this
3183s is the um like how it's going interact
3185s with that and all sort of stuff and and
3187s so the plans are a little less firm and
3190s more subject to change um so trying to
3193s strike the balance of like having stuff
3196s people can look forward to but without
3198s locking us into content that we have to
3201s be like well sorry we're changing that
3204s um cuz it is is a bit of a balance and
3206s um you know maybe we'll be like hey you
3208s know the further out we can talk about
3209s things the better just no matter what
3211s and we'll make it further
3213s out uh maybe we'll decide we went too
3215s far with this and we'll reel it in a
3217s little bit I don't know um I think we're
3218s in a really nice sweet spot and um I'm
3221s really pleased with how the road map is
3222s going uh right now and if and I I I
3224s really just want to like this style of
3227s Ro map I'm a big big fan of so also that
3230s bar at the top that I I don't want to
3231s sleep on of the of the room map there's
3233s a bunch of stuff at the top of that
3234s saying like um
3238s uh you know continuous updates coming
3241s for regular patches Community feedback
3242s and collaboration balance improvements
3244s dungeon improvements and Bug fixes and I
3246s I I don't want to sleep on those uh as
3248s being a really important part of just
3249s like everything that's coming because I
3250s think it it shows that we're
3253s um you know we're working on all sorts
3255s of stuff and it's a lot more than just
3256s what the road map shows
3258s to cuz there's also also um the the
3263s unveiling moment the surprise moment of
3265s like oh this is what's happening that's
3267s what that means like the that that
3269s anticipation and speculation to reveal
3271s and excitement transition I think is
3273s really valuable for um for building
3275s interest in the game and for um you know
3279s being able to get like conversation
3280s started and and having those
3282s conversations start altogether and
3284s having you know hey a beer having if you
3286s if you
3288s tell um if if you tell 10 people the
3291s same information that's exciting but you
3292s tell it to each one of them 10 days
3294s apart um they're never really going to
3296s be interested in going and talking to
3298s each other about that information cuz
3299s it's only new to one of them at a time
3301s if they all find out that information at
3303s the same time then they can talk to each
3304s other about it when it's new to them and
3308s um I think that's more interesting for
3310s people that are talking about it and I
3311s think it's better for uh you know it's
3313s better for the game as well so it's it's
3315s just better for everyone like it's I

3869s have a like um prize structure for a
3875s race plan for 1.1 at the moment um I

3880s trying to get our footing when it comes

3885s um specific mechanics specific um the

3894s structures uh cycle structures all that
3896s sort of stuff so like um making sure
3899s that we're presenting new mechanics or

3904s like the fumbling over this hard the
3907s process by which we roll out a new cycle
3910s and the things that go with that the
3911s timings the um who gets access to what
3914s when all that sort of stuff because
3916s that's still in flux we're really not
3918s super interested in
3921s um in too heavily incentivizing
3926s the competition aspect of it with some
3929s very enticing prize that um could result
3933s in a uh like hey that's not fair so and
3937s so one but they cheated type thing like
3939s then what do we do so I think and or
3941s like it it like rolling the order you're
3945s rolling out it makes it not fair for
3946s these people all that sort of stuff and
3948s um so I think we really want to get the
3949s flow of how we roll out new content
3953s um a little bit a little bit more
3955s experience
3956s in that with uh such a large group that
3959s has um like potential to complete it
3963s quite quickly and all that sort of
3964s stuff you know I think I think we want
3966s to get that a little bit more solidified
3968s and confident with that before we um
3972s start putting too much on the

4241s was looking at the ability list and I'm
4245s like so if I'm standing in melee range
4248s he only attacks me every two
4251s seconds at all like he'll just sit there
4255s for yeah and so we realized that we we
4256s restricted the range on abilities so
4260s hard that if you were like right beside
4262s the Pinnicle boss you he just like
4264s wouldn't attack you um so yeah it is it
4267s is definitely a cons and that's not the
4269s case anymore at all and that was a month
4270s ago at least you probably two months ago

4505s forget what I'm

4509s road maps in general because of how some

4512s sort of stuff I think we're just a lot
4514s better now at you know communicating
4517s than we were last time we did a road map
4519s um I think we're better at at longer
4521s term planning now than we were last time
4523s we did a road map um so there just like
4525s a lot of little things that we're just
4526s like better at now as far like
4528s supplementary things there's we got new
4530s people on the team that are really good
4531s at all that sort of stuff um and there's
4533s there's just room for you know new stuff

4548s um I think I think a lot of the risks
4550s associated with uh with road maps we
4553s manag to to to mitigate or find way to
4556s get around all sort of stuff and you

4566s less about the the want and more about
4568s the like is this going to be a positive
4570s thing overall and now we're like yeah

4621s be gained through killing monsters um so
4624s the the the the faction system as a
4627s whole like like how how factions work
4631s overall um that's like yeah there's
4634s there's like there's a progress a
4636s reputation progress that unlocks uh
4638s different different ranks that do
4640s different things as you go um there's
4642s this this favor that you generate by
4644s playing the game
4646s um or by some other method possibly too
4647s but this there's this favor that you
4648s generate and you spend favor on things
4650s in the faction which G you grants you
4652s reputation in the faction which grants
4654s you more stuff you get in the faction
4655s that that that broad that really broad
4658s definition that's a faction for us
4659s that's that's as far as it goes every
4661s other thing is specific to um whatever
4664s faction it
4666s is um so we are looking to add in new
4670s categories of factions um and you'll see
4672s those quite soon quite soon um where
4675s you'll see you'll see like another
4677s category here that's like some other
4679s faction that sits here on its own that
4682s doesn't have another faction to go up
4683s against type thing and it's it's really
4685s just a way of using this structure to uh
4689s clearly lay out progress in that system
4692s it's really all it
4694s is and by by theming them as factions we
4698s can have competing factions that become
4700s mutually exclusive um so sometimes we
4703s want to have mutually exclusive factions
4704s and times we don't um can I give you any
4708s more information about what that
4710s specific next faction is going to be and
4713s how it's going to work and what it's
4714s going to do and all that sort of stuff

4900s mechanics you can get through the fight
4902s with a an very underprepared build um
4906s like if if you can if you can push your
4909s your skills in the matter to to the
4911s extreme like you can you can get away
4912s with a a pretty poor build and still
4915s come out on
4916s top um it'll take quite a while cuz
4919s there's a big healthful all and stuff
4920s but yeah like there's there's there's
4922s quite a few mechanics there um if you're
4925s less confident in those mechanics did I
4928s just like not come back and talk to this
4930s person oh my
4935s goodness rolling my eyes at myself cuz
4937s I'm times um oh we should do scorpion
4940s instead of bear bear is super cool but
4942s you know what scorpion fits the
4944s aesthetic way
4956s um the say oh

4967s saying oh yeah boss the boss Pinal boss
4969s fight how how how much does it hurt all
4971s sort of stuff um the
4977s uh if if you have like really
4980s substantial equipment um there are
4983s certain mechanics in that fight you can
4984s trivialize there are things that like um
4988s if you have an extra uh
4991s like thousand Health pool and uh you
4995s know like 50% damage reduction from
4998s endurance and uh like you know full um
5004s glancing blow and you know like you
5006s can't be crit like you get you get all
5007s those defensive layers that stack on top
5010s and
5011s um there are certain parts of that fight
5014s that that you'll like you won't take
5015s damage from anymore or you'll take
5017s little enough damage that you're
5018s sustaining can get you back from and you
5019s know stuff like that and you'll um you
5021s have more time to attack and so you K
5023s the fight beat the fight faster all sort
5024s stuff so yeah like there's you can
5027s through gear make the fight way way
5030s easier and there was and this this is
5032s something that we are still testing and
5035s uh you know try trying to make feel
5037s really good and have those like how much
5039s gear is too much Gear to to completely
5042s trivialize the fight it was one of the
5046s builds one one of the test versions of
5048s the fight that we played uh about two
5051s weeks ago I think um the the the tester
5055s character that we set up to to try the
5057s fight was was way too good at uh at at
5060s hard CC and um kind of trivialized the
5064s fight a bit
5066s uh so you know we we we've made some
5067s changes there and stuff like that so
5069s we're we're still we're still working on
5070s fine-tuning it and all that um but the
5072s goal I think the goal with it is that um
5076s you know it's it's going to be a tough
5077s fight regardless of your gear you're
5079s going to have to learn mechanics and
5081s you're going to have to um like remember
5083s things are coming and you're going to be
5084s able you're going to have to react to
5086s some mechanics here and
5089s there and uh you know you can you can
5092s reduce the number of those mechanics
5094s that are relevant
5095s by by getting better gear I think this
5097s is kind of like I think I'm saying
5101s anything revolutionary it's kind of true
5102s for all the boss fights really like if
5104s you walk into lagon with no gear on
5107s you're going to probably get one shot
5109s you know um but if you're like a god at
5113s dodging you can get through that fight
5114s with basically no gear
5128s all right so with minimum three months
5130s Cycles 1.4 is coming summer 2025 uh if
5134s you've done the math I
5137s sure not uh that's probably the minimum
5141s the minimum point but like I I think the
5144s the chances of it hitting the minimum
5146s Point are extremely low
5150s um stuff would have to be falling into
5152s place like crazy espe especially if we
5154s are like say say we're say we're
5156s scheduled for that like say we're on
5158s Pace for a 3-mth
5160s cycle um we'll probably look at that and
5162s be like maybe we look at that
5164s three-month launch date and we're like
5166s there's other stuff nearby it probably
5168s better to push it two weeks um to just
5171s get a more favorable launch window and a
5173s little bit more polish and and Balan
5174s adjustments and we we'd probably take
5176s the two weeks in that situation
5179s um but maybe then there's like another
5182s cycle where we're like looking ahead to
5183s the next one and we're like if we don't
5184s get this one out fast that next one's
5186s going to have a problem where it's
5187s sitting so we got to get this one out in
5189s that three-month window real quick so
5191s you know like there's there's I think
5192s you'll see a range of release dates so
5194s them all hitting the minimum I think is
5195s unrealistic um some of them hitting the
5197s minimum every once in a while is is
5198s realistic but it's like um chances of
5201s every single one of them hitting the
5202s minimum is basically zero um so I'd say
5205s it's probably too soon for

5354s it um we we don't have any plans to
5358s include LP unset items this is this is a
5361s very commonly suggested um idea it's not
5364s a bad idea really um fundamentally I
5366s think it's actually a pretty good idea
5368s there's there's lots of lots of cool
5369s stuff that you can that we we've already
5371s established works well with um set items
5375s or sorry with unique items and legendary
5376s potential sort of
5378s stuff
5380s however the average space the tool tip
5383s takes on a unique item especially a low
5386s tier unique item like a low um yeah a
5389s low tier unique item one one that has a
5391s higher chance of having higher legendary
5393s potential um um you usually always but
5397s usually has very few AES on and very
5401s very little text on it compared to a set
5403s item I got lucky and like here's like
5406s the perfect example uh to prove the
5409s point here this one only has three
5411s affixes one implicit that's it uh
5415s there's so much room on this item to
5417s slap four extra stats on it so much room
5421s um even even like a little bit bigger
5423s uni you know like you you start getting
5425s into like oh it's only
5429s three okay this this one's got a ton
5431s this one this one you can actually get
5432s quite if you want this is probably the
5433s extreme case for uniques but there's
5435s still tons of room for four affixes to
5437s go there right um without LP without
5441s adding more affixes to it um there are
5445s already set items that are so tall the
5447s tool tips were so tall that we actually
5449s had to build a system to shrink tool
5451s tips to fit on the screen um because are
5454s just so big so so there's there's just
5457s not enough like physical UI space on the
5460s item in the first place to start
5462s adding so yeah there's there's stuff you
5464s can do to get around that there's stuff
5466s you can do to fix that to like redesign
5468s how tooltips sit to scrolling tool tips
5470s you start condensing stuff um but it's
5474s kind of a lot to just like shoehorn this
5476s mechanic into a system that it was never
5478s designed
5480s for um and we really want to have
5486s uh I guess better like a a a more
5490s thematically appropriate system for set
5493s items that feels more like sets and like
5496s you're you're you're you're tailoring
5498s that system to set items
5500s specifically um and so we are we we have
5503s a plan to uh integrate set items better
5507s into the uh endgame gearing puzzle as a
5512s whole these
5515s will start to activate way faster and
5518s farther
5520s away like get them right can't wait
5523s anyways
5525s um
5528s the what was I saying oh yeah set items
5531s so yes set items are are really
5533s interesting beast and um one thing that
5536s the unique and legendary system uh
5539s pushes is this idea of like almost a
5542s complete story on this one item this one
5544s item that became legendary and there's
5546s this story behind it it started out one
5548s way and you you forged it together and
5550s this this one item tells a whole
5553s story you know it started out without
5555s all those aices as you used it and and
5557s we're playing the game you got these
5558s added on these little bonuses it's this
5560s like it's this one self-contained event
5562s story set items on the other hand a good
5565s example that they they inherently span
5567s multiple
5568s items um and having too much of the
5572s focus on a single item where you're like
5575s taking that set item in particular and
5578s you are um you're making that set item
5581s of legendary set item um I think feels
5585s weird if you have like you're like okay
5586s I've got these two legendary set items
5589s and these two non- legendary set items
5590s that make up this four piece set or
5592s something like that and there's this
5593s sort of like weird halfway legendary set
5597s that you're using um and it doesn't it
5600s doesn't really fit quite well and I
5603s think that a lot of the flavor of
5606s um from set items comes from the
5609s storytelling of of like bringing a I
5612s guess
5613s more uh like cohesive like character to
5618s life through set items
5621s sometimes and I think that's more the
5623s aspect that we want to encourage in our
5627s final version of set items in
5630s the um itemization system
5636s so we're still we're still working how
5638s that's going to fit in exactly and I
5640s know I said basically nothing there
5641s sorry no details yet um but yeah we we
5646s we we're we're working
5647s on uh on on that set item system
5650s eventually it's not 1.1 it's it's a
5652s pretty big system

5664s a console release I know porting
5667s basically means making a new game in
5668s some cases sometimes not being worth the
5670s time effort resources so any plans or um

5678s screen um we do have plans to uh to
5682s expand into console
5684s spaces um there's we we get every day I
5686s see players on on some social platform
5688s being like PlayStation when Xbox when
5691s come on come on and it is it's something
5693s that we do
5694s we we've intended to do from square one
5696s this was always the plan was to bring it
5699s to consoles eventually and that's one of
5702s uh not the reason but one of the reasons
5704s why we do have controller support
5705s already is it's going to make going to
5707s console way
5709s easier uh we're still evaluating um
5712s which consoles we want to go to what
5713s order we want to go to them what what
5715s time frame we want to do that in all
5716s that sort of stuff still evaluating it
5717s we don't like we're we're
5720s um we're pretty young Studio overall we
5723s don't have
5724s pre-existing relationships with Sony and
5726s Microsoft for uh console development
5728s that sort of stuff so like we need we
5729s still need to open up that uh those
5732s lines of communication start talking um
5735s like all that sort of stuff it's it's
5737s it's a bit of a process
5740s um we've we we have a few people on our
5742s team now that have like launched console
5745s games with with these companies and
5746s they're like if we're ever going to do
5748s this we need to start this process now
5751s cuz it takes a long time um
5754s so you know we're we're we're we're
5756s we're starting to evaluate like when
5758s we're going to do this how we're going
5759s to approach it all sort of stuff so the
5761s the the console expansion process is I

5776s it's it's not like we've got Dev kits or
5778s anything like that yet

5833s and as long as you're playing on cycle

5842s follows you around and every 10th enemy
5844s you see he's just slays for you no
5846s problem you know like and but it only
5848s works in the cycle that's a borrowed
5850s power mechanic um because it is
5853s something that increases the power of
5854s your character um but only only works on
5858s the latest like the the temporary cycle
5861s characters or League mechanics seasonal
5862s mechanics something like that um so
5864s Legacy wouldn't get that power we don't
5867s um we're not currently planning effects
5869s like that um right now uh it it is not
5874s off the table it's something that we can
5876s do um you know like maybe we get a bunch
5879s of like this this is sort of thing that
5880s we're looking we we really pay close
5882s attention to the feedback we get um on
5884s this topic because it's a very important
5886s topic and it's very feedback heavy um
5888s which is fantastic and we uh are
5890s constantly looking to this topic for
5892s details on what you all want to see

5900s Reddit post like get the discussion

5998s boss fight just the final piece of the
6000s psycho content that's coming out just
6002s the last last step the Pinnacle boss
6004s fight should that be locked until
6007s someone clears it in
6009s cycle
6010s um and there's there's there's more
6013s Nuance to that question there's more um
6016s actually but there's a survey up on our
6017s forums if you haven't taken that out yet

6021s it is very specifically talking about
6023s just the Pinnacle boss so like the

6043s cycle to do and other things to

6049s cycle character and and you want to
6051s experience this stuff with an existing
6052s character you can you can do most of
6054s that content
6057s um uh like without without getting to
6060s the Pinnacle boss yet and um like if
6063s you're if you're slow like some
6065s people
6067s me you you may not you may not even get
6070s there in time like they they're people
6072s that may start new characters and kill
6075s the finnical boss before you even get to
6076s the finnical boss I know it's will
6078s happen to me
6080s um so yeah it's it's

6088s to make their voices heard on

6095s have some preliminary results now that I

6532s this mean this means that um of the
6536s class specific uniques if there is
6538s hypothetically an even distribution of
6540s those class specific uniques and each
6542s one of them has an equal chance to be
6543s got uh and there are five classes and
6546s you're playing one of them 20% chance
6548s for each class to get class specific
6549s unique to drop and because you're only
6551s playing one of those there's an 80%
6553s chance that it won't be class
6559s year and I am realizing as I said this
6562s that the uh the map is horribly wrong
6564s it's not 80% because there's uh Chan of
6566s you getting a class specific unique is
6568s not 100% so it's not 80% but you will if
6572s if you get a class specific unique more
6575s often than not it will be for a
6576s different
6583s class just because
6585s there's more classes than classes you're
6588s playing all right
6594s I I know it isn't going to be added or
6596s worked on for a while but once you guys
6598s start to work on it what is a new
6602s class or what are or what new masteries
6605s that you would personally love to see
6607s add it this is the problem so I'm I'm
6609s not going to give you
6611s specifics I'm not going to give you
6613s specifics because I do know what some of
6615s the first classes are going to be and
6616s they are the ones that I want to do in
6618s some cases um
6623s I I think the there I think you can look
6628s at I think you'll see a mix of
6632s like um oh they're finally adding that
6635s class and oh my God they're adding that
6637s class cool type reactions to the
6639s different types of classes that come in
6641s and like uh oh I never thought of a
6643s class like that you know I think there's
6645s going to be that that sort of that
6646s spectrum that I hope you've come to
6648s expect from us
6651s um I i' I'd really like to see i' really
6655s like to Target new um like play style
6657s archetypes and thematic archetypes that
6659s we just don't have I think there some
6661s really obvious gaps in those I'd
6664s probably be targeting specific uh weapon
6666s types as uh like thematic touchstones
6669s but not exclusivities for new classes um
6672s you know like like like go through um
6675s other games and other other RPGs and
6679s look at class archetypes that we don't
6683s have right now
6685s um and those are all the games we grew
6688s up playing that we love and that we we
6691s tend to draw inspiration from a lot just
6693s naturally because it's what we grew up
6696s playing and you'll probably get a decent
6698s picture of some of the the themes at
6701s least and play styles that we're looking
6702s to integrate
6716s all right is there a concern that every
6718s new skill tree that has come out lately
6719s has been overpowered with Ward or damage
6724s uh it's it's I wouldn't say
6727s concern um I think it's better that a
6731s new skill is too strong than too weak uh
6734s I think
6735s we've uh made a few mistakes that have
6739s caused it to go significantly too strong
6742s um
6744s I think we're getting better at that
6745s overall may not seem that way
6747s considering the uh the power difference
6750s that happened this time
6754s um but we're we're especially getting
6756s new tools to to help prevent this as
6761s well more more like
6765s uh more structured tools for testing a
6769s total power output and things like that
6771s which is is good and bad I think but I
6774s think it's it's we're going to end up
6775s with a
6777s better better balanced overall
6784s experience yeah just keep
6790s going uh followup question do you think
6793s with the theme of Ellie a class like
6795s engineer or mechanic would ever be able
6797s to fit in yeah I do I do I think there's
6800s um I think there's definitely room for
6802s uh I think it would
6804s be
6806s um you know we are it's it's it's
6809s definitely rooted in high fantasy right
6812s um but then we have this time travel
6814s mechanic that kind of kicks up the kicks
6818s up the what if mechanics like what if
6820s Factor um like what if we just go to the
6822s Future and you know get a bunch of
6824s technology so it's it's hard to um stick
6827s that high fantasy theme really close
6831s sometimes um
6833s um but there's there's engineer
6837s style uh classes and things like that in
6841s like DND and um Pathfinder and magic and
6844s you know other um other sort of high
6848s fantasy
6850s themed uh like adjacent style games have
6855s have those have those types of
6856s characters already they've kind of
6857s already solved the like it's it's like a
6859s like a magical engineer like an
6861s artificer um
6863s it's kind of how I think about other
6864s which which might not be right but like
6866s a magical engineer is kind of how I
6867s think about them I think is a fully
6869s reasonable thing for us to add in um you
6873s do like a like a tinkerer or something
6875s it's like the base class and you know
6877s you can you can this I think there's
6878s some cool places to go from
6886s there um
6895s I think you also get
6897s some uh some level of sort of like
6900s engineer feels a little bit in other
6903s ways too I think forg guard kind of
6905s touches on some of the themes that an
6907s engineer I would I would look at a
6910s little bit I think one of the first um
6912s abilities you'd add in with a a magical
6915s engineer class would be basically
6917s manifest
6919s armor um
6923s so you know there's there's there's some
6924s themes already there um but the rest of
6926s it doesn't fit super well so you know
6929s maybe maybe it's a new Base Class maybe
6930s it's new Mastery class maybe it's a new
6932s item that changes the theming around
6934s another existing seill I don't know but
6936s that style of theming and mechanic or
6939s like engineer and mechanics type thing I
6940s think is I think there's room to fit it
6942s in um I have no idea where it would go
6946s though all right any thoughts on why
6949s puncture trap with a bow doesn't just
6951s consume Jade AR Stacks read like it
6954s should but doesn't I have to go look um

6959s assume because it is actually a throwing
6964s ability and Jade Arrow only affects bow
6967s attacks and does not affect throwing
6969s abilities is probably what that
6975s is should it that's a very good question

6989s feeling wise um I think it would
6993s probably have some issues in the um red
6998s function functionality readability at a

7010s as few except exceptions as possible
7018s okay a lot of people want uh fcrm Nerfs
7022s do you think Ward Nerfs will affect
7024s other forms of RM as hard I I think
7029s that um you know whatever build can
7032s generate the most Ward will have the
7034s most impact on a ward Nerf or a ward
7037s Nerf will have the biggest impact on
7038s whichever build can generate the most
7040s Ward
7044s I think that statement is kind of a say
7046s nothing statement uh can I add any moreo
7049s I don't think so
7053s um I just just just naturally like if
7056s we're if we do something to
7058s make um like like if we if we Nerf Ward
7061s as a mechanic as the whole um like

7070s we were to make uh double damage from
7073s Ward so like uh if you're going to take
7075s 100 damage but you've but it's you've
7077s got a th000 ward instead you take 200
7079s Ward damage like like we're not doing

7088s like that that Nerfs Ward as a mechanic
7089s as a whole um and just whoever has the
7092s most Ward the most Reliance on Ward is a
7094s defensive mechanic that affects the most

7227s continues to be our number one priority

7239s better the game's better like yes that
7241s is a huge super important thing and like
7243s that that right there alone is enough
7245s reason for us to improve the servers um
7247s but it's so much more than that
7251s um if we if we improve the performance
7253s of the servers you know like like make
7256s them run better make them run more
7258s smooth make them take up less system uh
7261s all all that sort of stuff and it like
7263s it directly reduces our costs for
7265s running the game like like server costs
7267s are ginormous they're huge and um the
7271s the more we can do to shrink those costs
7274s through just better programming

7279s is can have a huge impact
7282s um you know like we can we can bring on
7284s more staff that can um make more items
7287s make more art make more fun stuff you

7294s server costs is like that's the dream

7306s huge like player impact that has is just

7314s working on the servers super important
