Was part of Last Epoch's inspiration from Guild Wars(2005)? What other games inspired it?

Did anyone else play the original Guild Wars from 2005? Is it just me, or is this game sooo much like Guild Wars? I played that game all through middle school, high school, and college. Talking ~2800 hours in game. Last Epoch feels so much like that game I feel at home playing it. It got me wondering if the Dev's got any inspiration from that game. And what other game's inspired Last Epoch? I'd be cool to know so we could see the influences and better appreciate the game.

Guild Wars also had a lot things that would work really well in Last Epoch. My first thought is the ability to save builds and cycle through them without having to respec your entire skill and passive trees. But that's besides the point.
