[2023] Can Spark Charge trigger Distant Spark?

The Distant Spark passive for Sorcerer gives a 30% chance on crit to cast Spark Nova if you're over 4m away. Can Spark Charge trigger that as well?

I'm trying to test with the target dummies, but it's darn-near impossible to see the Spark Nova graphical effect, so I can't tell what's happening.
