Thanks for the comments. Is this correct now?

*** If the enemy has 0 damage resistance ********

5 10% more damage added to 100 damage:

100 damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage = 161 damage

VS.

4 10% more damage and 10% damage penetration added to 100 damage

100 damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage = 146 damage then 10 % more penetration damage = 161 DAMAGE

So PEN damage == MORE damage when enemies has 0 resistance

But

PEN is better when the enemy has resistance???

******Original question*******

100 damage - 50% damage resistance = 50 Net damage

MORE damage:

100 damage + 50% more damage = 150 damage - 50% damage resistance = 75 Net damage

Damage PENETRATION:

100 damage + 50% damage penetration = 100 damage - (50% damage resistance - 50% damage penetration = 0) = 100 NET damage

Damage PENETRATION is more impactful against enemies with higher damage resistance.

***** If the enemy has 0 damage resistance ********

  • 10% more damage * 5 100 damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage = 150 Net damage

VS.

  • 10 more damage * 4 and 10% damage penetration

100 damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage + 10% more damage = 140 damage then 10 % more penetration damage = 154 NET DAMAGE (is this correct?)

AFAIK more is additive with other more sources, but multiplicative with increased sources.

No, multiple more sources are multiplicative with each other.
