Wonder what people/ the devs think of the proposition.

PoE trading works really well because items themselves aren’t traded via a singular currency, such as gold. Grant it, this is all done via a third party, but perhaps EHG could implement something akin to the trading of PoE?

This may even remedy their worries of a market place in the game, where regulating costs could be an absolute atrocious mess, and understandably so.

What if, at the trading post, there’s a small base gold fee that rises with player level, at a small incremental percentage, to post an item. Then, the player can post their item up for trade with materials they want in exchange for the item?

Example: Player puts up ‘Fulgurite Shard’ for sale with an initial fee of 1000gold. Where they ask for what they want, there’s a search bar with drop down box implementation. They can type/ scroll through what material they want, click it, tick how many, and add it to their desired items list for the dagger. Right next to the search/scroll bar for desired items, there’s that nice purple box with a plus sign in it (akin to their UI for loot filters) that allows the seller to add another material. A person can only list a maximum of 5 different materials for an item.

Just some food for thought. Market places can be an absolute hell to manage, but if materials are our currency, it might be much easier to manage compared to a singular currency where inflation and gold sellers are almost a guaranteed future problem.

Edit: For clarification, this would be Runes, Glyphs, Blessings, and Affix shards.

Hey redeemed, we certainly did discuss this but it was fairly quickly decided against simply because we want players to feel good about using those materials for crafting instead of feeling that the best use of them is to store away to trade for something.
