Is there a ballpark guess for how long after 1.0 will Steam Achievements be added?

I guess this is really just a post for the devs. I saw that achievements won't make 1.0, but im curious how long after they'll be added? How many there will be? Any info on them really.

I completely understand them not being high on the to do list, im just being selfish and impatient. Either way I am loving the game and can't wait for 1.0 and what comes after!
