[2023] If white items had higher forging potential, would you pick them up for crafting purposes?

Occasionally a really good base will drop, making me want to gamble with a Rune of Discovery, or to tinker a bit with some of the other runes/glyphs, but the fact that white items have lower forging potential makes it hard to actually get a decent item.

I know for me personally, if white items could have a higher forging potential they would actually be worth picking up, especially on a new character/new cycle character.

Sure, once you get to empowered monoliths you're blasting away trying to find exalted items anyways. Maybe if there was a rare Rune that drops in monoliths/echo bosses that adds a random exalted property to an item could be a thing.

I dunno, just spit balling some ideas out to the masses. Still enjoying the game for sure!
