181s namely in the the length of set items

192s um you know we're um we we've got some
195s plans for set items to to sort of be

265s picking that time and we'll re-evaluate
267s and decide if we want to do it a game

272s where uh we we might look at it and go
275s that was fantastic yeah let's do that
277s again we might look at and go well those
279s these were problems and we can fix it by
280s doing this you know like it's it's just
283s we're going to have to evaluate what's

298s this but you know we're releasing on the
299s 11th hour I mean it's 11th hour

310s Central uh what do you see as the median
313s and or average amount of time players
316s will spend in each league are you
318s balancing for some expectation here um I
322s mean I think we're we're sort of trying

325s hit I time is probably a bad way to look
328s at it for us right now now um I think
331s it's more in
332s the um activity investment category so
336s like we try and have uh like goals that
340s people who are um like really going to
343s go hard and are like going to do
345s everything they possibly can you know we
347s we have things that we expect them to
348s try and Achieve and then we have um
351s maybe people who are um who are playing
354s 3 AR RPGs and and bouncing between them
357s you know and are are going to spend less
359s time playing less which is totally fine
361s um and and maybe goals that are more
364s realistic for them to be achieving um
367s just just because they don't have the
369s the time to to do it or people who are
371s you know playing more per day than
373s others and things like that so like
374s there's I guess
375s more C like tear
378s of um activities that we expect people
380s to do like um some people will you know
384s grind up to level 100 some people will
386s grind their factions all the way to uh
390s to to to rank 10 some people do both
392s factions all the way to rank 10 it's
393s sort of like these these these
395s Milestones um that were sort of
396s expecting out of some people and not out
397s of others and it's less about how long
400s people are actually
404s playing and I'm I bet there's someone
407s who's uh much much more in tune with
412s um like server statistics and cost and
416s all that sort of stuff and probably is
418s has a more firm number on that but from
420s from a design standpoint that's the way
421s we look at it
434s really are you guys worried that the
436s Elden ring DLC might launch on the same
438s time as 1.0 I mean we we we tried really
441s hard to avoid any big uh uh big game
445s overlaps that we think would have a
447s significant like um play race
451s sharing uh and I think we've done pretty
453s well like we're we're not going to hit
455s too much here I I I would prefer them to
459s avoid our launch by a few weeks that
461s that would be real nice do I expect them
464s to even know who we are
467s no um yeah it's it's we we'll see what
470s happens I think it'll be fine either way
472s I think the the people who are
476s um like really really invested in last
480s and and playing on launch day and all
481s that sort of stuff um are going to sort
484s of regardless of if ELD the ring drops
487s that content for the most
494s part not want to
498s die we've been play testing the uh the
502s the the new uh launch builds too much
504s and there's so many little things that
505s I'm like trying to do like I was setting
507s up the audio I'm like all right just
508s switch the audio I can't do that you
511s know just just lots of little
513s things that I'm I've gotten used to
517s working good
519s news uh is it possible to get a better
522s contrast for the framing of the items
524s sometimes it feels hard to distinguish
525s the uniques at one glance in their
527s inventory or stash brightness uh does
530s not help with that um maybe I if you've
532s got if You' got um screenshots and a
534s suggestion like that the best place to
535s put it is on the forums or on on Discord
538s and we can um look at it and evaluate
540s all stuff there's always like any
542s question is it possible yes it's
543s possible
545s um I I don't know if something like that
548s is is going to happen at all I I assume
550s you mean like the distinction of of this
552s to this here in your inventory like the
556s the the frames here in the stash not the
560s actual tool tip cuz the tool tip is
561s getting a big overhaul and I think that
563s the um the inventory stuff's changing a
565s little bit too it looks
568s different there just too many

594s texts in the game because of different

610s Cosmetics uh how long till the Potters
613s have some insane Tech I mean hopefully
616s uh hopefully a long time and if they do
619s it's like really easy to detect and

638s all right will there be a bigger monster
639s density at release or will it stay like
641s this yeah they there'll be a we've been
643s making this sort of like uh steady
645s incremental progress on uh increasing
647s the monster density bit by bit uh that
649s will continue at 1.0 it's not going to

653s like oh my God take a look at the
655s screenshot differences there's there's
656s four guys here and 40 guys here ah or
658s something like that but like it'll
661s be uh it'll it'll be it'll be a little
665s more sometimes that's also um reducing
670s the size of some of the zones as
672s well so there's uh there's a few um uh
677s monolith EOS in particular that are
678s problematic for size and uh I don't like
683s I I think this is still the way is on
686s live I don't think this was last patch
688s the problem I get get confused on which
690s patch things are for but there's um
692s we've been splitting up some of the the
693s model of echo um specifically just cuz
696s they're too
697s big which you know lead the same amount
700s of enemies in a smaller Zone higher
705s density uh keeping that mixed up are all
708s the Cycles going to be the same as
709s Legacy or you going to start doing new
710s content on cycle only after you finish
712s with the core editions um so a lot of
715s the the the the status of future Cycles
717s is very up in the air um we do have a
720s plan for what that's going to look like
721s um we know what's coming like we we've
724s got a a pretty solid plan for 1.1 um you
728s know like we we we do have a a general
730s idea of what it's going to look like
731s going forward but a lot of it's going to
733s be based on like the how the the patch
735s does um feedback we get from it how we
739s feel playing it you know there's there's
741s a lot of things that are going to
743s influence how we adjust that strategy
746s going forward um I think it's going to
749s be I think it's going to be a lot
751s of uh at least the first few patches I
754s think there's going to be mostly core
756s features that are
759s added and so this is this is speculative
761s based on you know what we've sort of
764s been feeling is going to likely happen
765s but it could change still um you know we
768s we we launch it and everyone goes we
769s hated this and we'll go okay well how
770s can we make it better you know

777s um once we do have more more core things
780s in the game um that we don't feel like
783s adding a new feature to cycle would um
787s be super lacking for legacy uh we we
791s like we we might start looking at adding
793s in
794s more like cycle only content may maybe
797s it starts slow maybe it's this is
799s speculation I'm I don't know what's
801s going to happen exactly but maybe we're
802s like oh here's some like new unique
805s items or um you know like new
807s experimental affixes or like something
809s that's similar to experimental aices but
810s just like a new style or something I
812s don't know and you know that gets added
814s to cycle first and then wrapped into
816s Legacy afterwards or something like that
817s but you know initially the the the main
819s core features at least in 1.0 and 1.1
823s that we're planning are are going to be
824s cycle and Legacy right out of the
829s gate that's what we're planning right

917s nailing down like all the all these
919s commits in our in our get repo just like

928s message have uh fixed fixed the this
932s node in that thing like what what was
935s wrong with
943s it it's going to be
948s good and you'll see him very shortly
950s before the patch but not significantly

965s when you'll be showing the shaman
967s changes I would I would I don't know I
969s would assume in the first in the week

1030s much the same as it's been received for
1031s a long time um I think there will be
1033s some people who are very upset about it
1035s and some people who uh don't care at all
1038s about it and other people who are very
1039s happy about it like it's it's going to
1041s be it's going to be a mixed bag I

1070s any major differences what we have

1086s uh question here will you be doing a lot
1089s uh borrowed power in each
1091s cycle uh do you mean like uh things that
1095s the cycle gets that is like a lot of

1172s be items and it's not people don't feel
1175s that way about them so um we kind of

1179s um pull back on the convenience or amp

1188s convenience I'm sure you're allware
1190s about how well things go over when you
1191s take something
1194s away when will patch notes come up PRI
1196s to launch probably just before
1200s suffer Dev I know the get commit pain
1203s big offender of fix I I always play you
1206s got got have a little bit of description
1208s there but you know sometimes it is a
1209s little
1212s just just look at the one line of the

1250s way you interact with the end game is
1253s changing um

1260s like the rewards for end game is
1262s changing the difficulty scaling for end
1263s game is changing um you know like so
1266s there's I would say end game is getting
1268s a lot of
1269s refinements um but there's no new
1271s activities so I don't like the nothing's
1275s changing but depending on how you look
1277s at it it's
1278s true
1281s um as as for new endgame like activities
1285s and content that sort of style uh I I
1287s would say that's going to be a very very
1288s high priority for us for most of the
1292s patches
1296s um like that we we've already planned
1300s which are the first
1303s few oh my goodness what is going
1306s on I I my finger was pressing two
1309s instead of one for potion I don't know
1312s why I'm a dumb Dum that's okay go this

1325s action I'm a big fan of this particular
1327s Arena just a little extra you know
1329s little extra mechanics in the middle is

1382s uh hi Mike do you guys plan midcycle
1384s balance changes if something is
1386s outperforming or underperforming some of
1388s the older classes seem a bit
1390s underpowered um yeah so we do we do this
1393s is I uh two weeks ago I went into a very
1396s long explanation of this
1399s answer
1401s um the shorter version
1404s is um yes we'll do we'll do some some
1408s mid midseason balancing and stuff like
1411s that

1414s um there's a lot of ways we can do that
1418s and have major problems happen uh so
1421s we're going to be very careful in how we
1425s um you know how how we execute on that
1428s and
1431s uh there's yeah the few big pitfalls you
1434s know n nerfing a build that's that's
1436s doing really well too hard lot problem
1438s problems
1441s um
1443s nerfing uh or bu buffing too many other
1445s builds to compensate uh can leave you in
1447s a position at the end of the cycle where
1449s you have to Nerf too many things and you
1451s end up with a a bad pattern of um
1454s nerfing in between cycles and buffing in
1457s the middle of cycles and and that
1459s doesn't work well either so so there's
1461s those the pitfalls were avoiding for the
1463s most part
1467s um
1469s but yes we will be doing some
1471s rebalancing we're needed like it's it's
1474s it's if there's a if there's a really
1476s important time that we need it yeah
1478s we'll do it um but mid midseason
1480s balancing is a delicate
1488s touch respect all button when hopefully
1491s soon uh will you cons continually add
1496s new skills for all classes um I mean
1498s yeah so
1500s the like Mage is
1502s stacked Mage is stacked so like it'll be
1505s a while before there's a new Mage skill
1507s I think um but like you go up in the
1510s same panel on Rogue even even after the
1511s falconer and it's like yesh where's all
1514s the
1516s skills um so yeah yeah we we'll keep
1519s adding skills the ones that have fewer
1520s skills will get more skills added faster
1523s um the ones who have a lot of skills
1526s will probably get less you know

1530s um and that's not to say there won't be
1532s reworks and revamps and things like that
1534s that happen the existing skills even for
1536s the bigger
1537s trees H little teleport it's one
1541s bad as an
1545s example so yeah there's there's there's
1548s definitely room for improvements there

1552s to I what I would say is uh nothing when
1555s when a new skill comes out or new skill
1556s gets reworked it doesn't get off it
1558s doesn't get taken off the list it just
1559s goes to the bottom of the
1572s list oh Idol is going to make me try and
1575s read all these in the middle of a
1579s thing cold dots not
1587s bad
1593s wait they're basically not none of them
1594s are for

1741s one of those things where it's like it's

1763s really important part of everything um

1838s settled yeah that that style of thing I

1841s is really good for driving engagement
1846s um you know just just a a fun reward for
1850s being
1853s awesome hopefully it goes without saying
1855s I'm going to say it anyways they would
1857s not be power rewards would be cosmetic
1864s only just to be safe got to say
1869s it you can kind of just assume that
1872s caveat goes with
1873s everything that's
1875s like cosmetic or purchasable or you know
1878s not just for everyone in the
1886s game uh you may have very well created
1889s the best rogue class in any APG a I have
1891s fallen completely level thank
1895s you I rogue's also my
1911s favorite getting Keys everywhere
1916s today
1927s that big big big Mega NOA is just so
1930s cool it's just gets
1936s me right what Nick K was better The Rock
1940s or Conor The Rock 100% The
1943s Rock it's one of I I love the it's it's
1946s like you got nage it's also Sean Connor
1947s you remember like this is this is not
1950s just a Nick Cage you
1956s know I'm old enough that Sean Connor is
1958s still
1964s Bond the Thunderball that was a
1972s mistake it's actually a
1975s remake all right what was the why was
1978s the decision to keep bug fixes
1981s like with Rogue flurry multi-shot and
1984s detonating arrow to 1.0 not emergency
1986s patch
1990s um sometimes something seems like it can
1994s be fixed in
1996s isolation um but but really it's a
2000s larger like issue and uh you can't like
2003s if if you fix if you try and fix that
2005s one thing you're actually working on a
2007s larger issue um and the volume of things
2012s that it touched um and and other systems
2016s that it interacted with meant that we
2017s would have been releasing a very major
2020s patch uh which would have required uh
2022s much more QA bandwidth and uh would have
2025s taken away from what we could actually
2026s push out at 1.0 we got to a point where
2029s 1.0 was the only thing that mattered and
2032s unless it was like a
2035s really really imp impactful bug that
2038s would sto people from playing the game
2039s altogether um or was like super easy to
2044s fix uh like super low risk to fix you
2047s know there's there's sort of those two
2048s things like
2051s um fighting against each other to just
2053s decide if we're going to do it or not
2055s and it was uh high risk medium high
2059s reward um but we weren't prepared to try
2061s and tackle a high-risk thing like
2066s that
2068s it's it's basically we looked at one
2070s point it was going to be better because
2070s we didn't do
2082s that which I know sounds
2096s ridiculous
2101s next
2103s question Oh all masteries have five
2106s skills at 1.0 no for example Shaman only
2108s has four will still only have four at
2109s launch while J has five yeah so um
2112s Paladin will only have four uh Shaman
2115s will only have
2116s four
2121s uh Lich will only have
2126s four
2132s what am I
2137s missing are Marksman and blade dancer
2139s sitting at four right now I think
2139s they're both sitting at
2141s four they're not getting new skills in
2144s their in their Mastery
2152s trees Paladin will be four Paladin's
2155s three and a half right now it'll be four
2158s said
2163s that almost all of the new skills are
2167s for Warlock and
2169s Falcon there only one new skill that's
2186s not
2195s all right next question any plans uh for
2198s a server slam session before 1.0 we've
2200s been doing
2202s um a lot of tests
2207s internally um I don't know I don't know
2210s if there's a big like plan for a like
2212s Community run server slam type
2215s thing I don't I I don't don't think we'd
2217s be able to generate real
2221s numbers um for a for a server test that
2224s would actually like accurately mimic
2227s what would happen in a in in a launch
2230s situation um so I don't know if it's
2232s valuable or not to do
2243s that it's the two three rows of Buffs
2245s showing by default that's it's always
2246s been that way it's just r gets a weird
2247s amount of
2249s Buffs I way too many might I don't look
2252s at them at
2254s all all
2256s right uh some of the character faces
2258s look weird shiny or oily and the
2261s character select look different 1.0
2263s later patch yeah uh all of the faces got
2266s a touchup I might be wrong on that I
2269s know some of them
2270s did if you watch the
2272s trailer um like the just the main launch
2275s trailer there's like uh like a quick
2277s back toback of like every character like
2279s landing and like you see their face um
2283s that's that's what the new characters
2284s look like you can you can use that to
2285s compare the difference they're they're
2287s in like a pose so it's a little
2289s different but yeah those are actual
2292s models from
2297s game uh do you guys uh plan to give
2300s agency over what endgame content people
2302s wants to do after game has many cycle
2305s contents in it
2318s um do you mean
2322s like I feel like we already do this is
2324s why is why I'm
2325s hesitating uh so this is why I'm kind of
2327s like yes but we already
2332s do um once there's more options it'll be
2335s you know like there'll be more options
2336s there'll be more more things to choose

2345s uh will there be additional campaign
2349s chapters with 1.0 launch no what's your
2351s personal favorite thing you have added
2353s to the
2358s game me personally

2371s here's the problem is I don't think I've
2372s added anything on my
2380s own it's really hard to
2382s like oh yes I added
2386s that
2393s um I I think just like just skills
2395s skills and skill trees that I worked
2396s done
2399s done that's my favorite part of design

2413s development get out of
2424s those hey next question
2428s uh oh there a big one I was asking if
2431s there going to be challenge systems and
2433s cosmetic rewards for like for it like
2436s Poe does where you complete a number of
2438s challenges you get a cosmetic at 10 20
2440s 30 40 different cosmetic rewards Etc
2442s because the challenges offer different
2443s players more stuff to chase in the
2444s season yeah I I we don't have anything
2446s specific like that set up for 1.0 um I I
2450s think that that style of thing is that
2453s that is what I thought you meant um that
2455s that style of thing is very very
2458s appealing and I'd be very surprised if
2461s we didn't do something like that
2465s um I I we don't have any specific things
2468s of like here are the plans for
2470s challenges going forward or anything
2471s like that that I can share but like it's
2474s it's a pretty natural type of thing to
2476s add um and I think it's done very well
2478s in
2479s Poe you know we'll we'll we'll approach
2482s it fresh and put our own twist and all
2483s that sort of
2485s stuff I am not a man of
2490s manys come on
2494s tyan get some more

3548s of that so if there's if there's an
3550s effect that is especially model specific

3563s interact with every single model in the
3565s game suddenly that one MTX is going to
3568s cost us an insane amount of money to

3583s specific examples here but it's just
3585s like um be the point the reason I'm
3588s pointing this out is I'm trying to show

3593s Cosmetics that are here here affect your
3596s character only so there's one object in
3599s the world that's really affected by this
3600s there's there's I mean skills affect the
3602s skills you shoot out but it's it doesn't
3604s care about each individual enemy really
3606s it's just you um when we start doing
3609s enemy specific things um suddenly those
3613s things need to be generic enough that
3615s they just work with every
3624s enemy

3761s being able to AutoCast it and maybe it's
3763s only like 95% perfect but you know it's
3765s fine uh and and they they'd rather just
3767s play with it AutoCast it and it's not
3769s maybe like the most possible optimal way
3771s to do it cool have fun um

3780s stance than I've I've mentioned before I
3782s think not much lighter but a little bit

4254s of overlap in the crafting stuff that we

4259s like pulling them out of one game and

4998s couple ways where you can like make it
5000s look like you've duped an item um and
5003s you can even go sell it uh but the item
5007s never existed and you don't get to keep
5008s the gold and as soon as you log out
5010s everything goes back the way it should
5012s be um it's just it's just a visual thing
5014s on the client the client gets confused
5016s um at no point does like so we we've run
5018s tests on it uh and the server doesn't
5021s even the server just like never accepts
5023s it it's never like a the server accepts
5025s it and corrects it no the server just
5026s never even realizes you've mistakenly
5028s done this to your
5029s UI um because it's just like that could
5032s never
5044s happen so L yeah luckily that's the
5046s closest we've come to a dupe exploit so
5050s far not ruling it out as possible
5052s because you know there's there's very
5053s smart people out there and we'll see
5054s what they come up with um but yeah if a
5059s dupe exploit or something like that and
5061s like something needs to happen yeah we
5064s we'll be on
5066s it uh any chance that we might get a
5069s revive mechanic for multiplayer we've
5071s we've toyed with this a few times um
5074s like you may notice that the uh
5076s companions basically have that already
5079s like your your your bear goes down and
5080s you walk over and revive it good to go
5082s like the system's there
5086s um it's it's it's at least for the time
5089s being intentionally not
5091s included
5099s uh will you guys add a function like Poe
5101s at the start of a cycle um it'll say x x

5107s announcements um it we don't have it for

5481s reworked one skill is getting
5483s replaced uh that's about it and then
5485s some
5506s passives uh how often will we drop
5508s residents while playing with friends um
5511s I I I don't have an exact time with that
5513s if you are um the best way I can explain
5516s it is um there is there is a threshold
5521s where the percentage of time you're
5523s playing together compared to the
5524s percentage of time you're playing apart
5526s will be such that you'll actually have
5528s extra
5529s residences um where you'll be like oh
5532s I've got a spare residence I'll I'll
5533s wait till I find an item to use it with
5534s and you you'll actually build up more
5535s residen than you that you need um
5538s because you'll be playing together so
5539s much that most of the items you're
5540s finding are tradeable anyways um

5543s um and then there's a on the other side
5546s of that threshold you'll be like oh I've
5548s got this item I'll find a residence to
5550s be able to trade it at some point and um
5553s I don't know where that ratio of time
5555s playing together versus time playing
5556s apart that threshold sits yet

5562s specifically playing with someone with
5564s the intention of getting a residence to
5567s trade an item uh it's going to feel like
5569s it's real
5571s slow
5575s that is a that is a play pattern that is
5576s not supported and will not feel good
5597s sorry have you guys considered an
5600s extremely rare cos meic only drops for
5603s example for each mono boss have its own
5605s uh portal skin but it's very very rare
5607s so you just admire how lucky you got
5610s um not specifically uh we we we
5613s definitely talked about ways to um to
5617s get MTX items without without um
5619s purchases like like in-game achievements
5621s for MTX items that sort of stuff so on
5623s the table um we don't have any specifics
5625s planned for right now um and we don't
5628s have any um available at 1.0 yet
5636s uh love this game a lot any changes to
5639s model's progression speed yes
5644s um uh unlocking empowered is
5647s faster
5650s um the uh corruption difficulty
5652s increases faster so you don't have to
5654s grind as much of it to get the same
5656s changes

5664s haven't got it yet into um a a bit more

5669s uh um like uh subsequent character speed

5816s can gamble gold at the end of a run of

5819s Arbor um if you do it in multiplayer any
5822s he plans to allow everyone in the party
5823s to be able to gamble gold uh there was

5833s yes uh what Guild will be joining on 1.0
5836s uh the item faction that I'll be
5838s starting with on 1.0 will probably be
5840s circle of Fortune
5842s but I I I am interested to just like get
5846s involved with the with the
5848s um with the bizarre a little bit so just
5851s just cuz that's I'm really not sure how
5854s that's going to go specifically how the
5855s community is going to react to it how
5857s the community is going to react to the
5858s wrong word how how the community is
5860s going to engage with it um that I'm
5862s really interested in seeing firsthand so
5864s I Myer skill just just out of from a
5866s like academic
5868s standpoint it it sounds weird
5874s um will items automatically return to
5876s inventory from Forge when closing the
5877s crafting interface I lost items into the
5880s forge so many times uh no the problem
5883s with that is is that you can set up your
5884s inventory such that you can't have it
5886s automatically return there uh and then
5888s you close it and you're used to it
5890s automatically returning um as a as a
5892s thing so like consistency is more
5894s important than that I think
5899s um unsure though
5906s super excited about La me too question
5909s can you please include up to three
5910s sounds that players can customize for
5912s certain drops it's off screen so we can
5914s look for it um well uh if you have a
5917s suggestion for the game please put it on
5919s the suggestion places so we can look at
5920s it I don't write anything down from the
5922s stream um this is something that gets
5924s suggested proba fairly regularly um it
5926s is way too late to add something
5929s anything to uh to one 1.0 so as far as
5932s 1.0 is concerned no um beyond that maybe
5936s please put a suggestion on the
5938s appropriate suggestion places uh forums

5943s Discord the best places the dedicated
5945s suggestion
5947s sections or just add to another one
5949s start there cuz I know this one's there

6038s don't have a good example of it I'm sure
6039s there are good examples of it I don't um
6042s I don't know when else to my have but
6043s like I think most of the things that
6045s people dislike about season past
6047s mechanics in general
6050s um you know are are uh are
6059s fixable but you know I I because of
6063s because of how we're doing like cycles
6065s and the content for those Cycles um I
6068s feel like it's like if you're going to
6071s if you're going to break down in very
6072s broad terms what a season's pass is and
6074s how the Cycles are going to work on all
6076s sorts of things I think you can draw a
6077s lot of parallels there
6080s um but I don't I don't think formalizing
6083s it as the season's pass would be
6084s beneficial for our game um and I don't
6087s think having it be a uh especially the
6090s content to be interacted with being paid
6092s is the big problem so like that's
6093s something we don't want to split people
6095s on is like we don't want you to ever hop
6096s into game and say like all right I'm
6098s going to go do this challenge for my
6099s season's pass and your buddy's like I
6101s didn't buy the season's pass so I don't
6102s get to do that challenge it's like
6104s that's that that's the key interaction
6105s that we don't want to happen really
6109s um so yeah I I I I feel like having it
6112s just be more along the lines of hey the
6115s this like this the patch drop the new
6117s Cycle's out and there's this there's
6119s this new boss to go fight in the cycle
6121s um you know and it it drops cool new
6124s gear like that's that's the same thing
6125s really but instead of it being a like a
6128s split on the community it's a it's
6130s something that everyone can do
6135s together so we we don't look at it like
6137s a season's pass but I think you could I
6140s think you could like make it an argument
6142s for why it's essentially the same

1459s doesn't work well either so so there's
1461s those the pitfalls were avoiding for the

1471s rebalancing we're needed like it's it's

1480s balancing is a delicate

3769s maybe like the most possible optimal way
3770s to do it cool have fun um

5018s tests on it uh and the server doesn't
5020s even the server just like never accepts

5029s UI um because it's just like that could

5480s reworked one skill is getting rep
5482s placed uh that's about it and then some
5505s passives uh how often will we drop
5508s residents while playing with friends um
5511s I I I don't have an exact time with that
5513s if you are um the best way I can explain
5516s it is um there is there is a threshold
5521s where the percentage of time you're
5523s playing together compared to the
5524s percentage of time you're playing apart
5526s will be such that you'll actually have
5528s extra
5529s residences um where you'll be like oh
5531s I've got a spare residence I'll I'll
5533s wait till I find an item to use it with
5534s and you you'll actually build up more
5535s residence than you're that you need um
5537s because you'll be playing together so
5538s much that most of the items you're
5539s finding are tradeable anyways um
5544s and then there's a and on the other side
5546s of that threshold you'll be like oh I've
5548s got this item I'll find a residence to
5550s be able to trade it at some point and um
5553s I don't know where that ratio of time
5555s playing together versus time playing
5556s apart that threshold sits yet
5560s um I will say that if you are
5562s specifically playing with someone with
5564s the intention of getting a residence to
5567s trade an item uh it's going to feel like
5569s it's real
5571s slow
5574s that is a that is a play pattern that is
5576s not supported and will not feel good
5597s sorry have you guys considered an
5600s extremely rare cosmetic only drops for
5603s example for each mono boss have its own
5605s uh portal skin but it's very very rare
5607s so you just admire how lucky you got um
5611s not specifically uh we we we definitely
5613s talked about ways to um to get MTX items
5618s without without um purchases like like
5620s in-game achievements for MTX items that
5622s sort of stuff so on the table um we
5624s don't have any specifics planned for
5625s right now um and we don't have any um
5630s available at 1.0 yet

5638s model progression speed yes
5644s um uh unlocking empowered is
5647s faster
5650s um the uh corruption difficulty
5652s increases faster so you don't have to
5654s grind as much of it to get the same

5838s starting with on 1.0 will probably be

5853s that's going to go specifically how the
5855s community is going to react to it how
5857s the community is going to react to the
5858s wrong word how how the community is
5859s going to engage with it um that I'm
5862s really interested in seeing firsthand so
5863s I might Merchant skill just just out of
5865s from a like academic
5868s standpoint it of sounds weird
5874s um will items automatically return to
5876s inventory from Forge when closing the
5877s crafting interface I lost items into the
5880s forge so many times uh no the problem
5883s with that is is that you can set up your
5884s inventory such that you can't have it
5886s automatically return there uh and then
5888s you close it and you're used to it
5889s automatically returning um as a as a
5892s thing so like consistency is more
5894s important than that I think
5898s um unsure though

6059s fixable but you know I I because of
6063s because of how we're doing like cycles
6065s and the content for those Cycles um I
6068s feel like it's like if you're going to
6071s if you're going to break down in very
6072s broad terms what a season's pass is and
6074s how the Cycles are going to work on all
6075s sorts of things I think you can draw a
6077s lot of parallels there
6080s um but I don't I don't think formalizing
6082s it as the season's pass would be
6084s beneficial for our game um and I don't
6087s think having it be a uh especially the
6089s content to be interacted with being paid
6092s is the big problem so like that's
6093s something we don't want to split people
6094s on is like we don't want you to ever hop
6096s into game and say like all right I'm
6098s going to go do this challenge for my
6099s season's pass and your buddy's like I
6100s didn't buy the season's pass so I don't
6102s get to do that challenge it's like
6103s that's that that's the key interaction
6105s that we don't want to happen really
6109s um so yeah I I I I feel like having it
6112s just be more along the lines of hey the
6115s this like this the patch drop the new
6117s Cycle's out and there's this there's
6118s this new boss to go fight in the cycle
6121s um you know and it it drops cool new
6123s gear like that's that's the same thing
6125s really but instead of it being uh like a
6128s split on the community it's a it's
6130s something that everyone can do
6135s together so we we don't look at it like
6137s a season's pass but I think you could I
6140s think you could like make it an argument
6142s for why it's essentially the same
