Hi thanks for the feedback everyone; hope y'all have been enjoying Uydr on live! Gonna give our impressions of how Udyr is performing right now (as well as how you can follow along with metrics for monitoring his performance), and then provide y'all with the list we will be micropatching in today to address some outlier balance.

Firstly, Udyr is currently performing about as expected with Tank builds and weak compared to expectations with AD/Q builds (and significantly weaker than what is acceptable long term). Our current takeaways are that R->W is slightly overtuned for long-term, with R->E being slightly undertuned. In addition, Q max in all cases is significantly underperforming, whether first or second max. Some of this will be due to build uncertainty, so we won't be aiming to COMPLETELY solve this in one go, but want to bring them much closer in line.

So, without further adieu, the list we will be micropatching today is as follows:

Q

  • Max HP on hit 3~9% >> 3~10%
  • Max HP on hit AD ratio 4% >> 6%
  • Physical on hit damage 5~25 (+0.1 bonus AD) >> 5~45 (+0.2 bonus AD)

W

  • Shield HP ratio 2~5% >> 2~4%
  • Life on hit HP ratio 1.2~1.8% >> 1.2~1.5%

E

  • Move speed 30~50% >> 30~65%
  • Stun lockout per target 6~4.5s >> 6~4 s

Couple of important things to note here

  • First and foremost, thank you so much to the rioters working on the Udyr rework and putting so much effort into making sure he's more appealing to both the newcomers and old guards. Special shout out to Riot Ray Yonggi for actually going into Udyr Mains' discord server and discussing with the members there about feedback these past weeks.
  • Secondly, they are fixing the bug concerning Tear of the Goddess next patch (Udyr's R storm grants a Tear stack, but the next two autos don't, unlike the other stances)

  • Thirdly, the goal of the Udyr's Q max buffs is to buff his burst as opposed to his duelling power as that seems to be his weakspot currently. They're targeting the scaling portion of the abilities as all abilities are now used in the early jungle clear, so they're trying to avoid overbuffing the Tank/AP Tank build (R max).

All the context is in there, but generally we want to support his multiple builds as well as we can. Obviously with a champion as complex as udyr it's a little tough to land it perfectly on the first go but yeah.
