Today is a big day with a lot of info. I hope you’re ready. Keep in mind nothing is final yet. We’ll be reading all of the feedback and working hard these next months to adapt and get everything as perfect as it can be.

Essence Reaver and Navori Quickblade A reworked Essence Reaver and a new item Navori Quickblade are filling out “caster ADC” builds. Phantom Dancer and other Zeal With Immortal Shieldbow filling the “burst defense” niche very well, we’ve pivoted PD into the more pure DPS option with a ramping effect. This plays well against the best poke/trade option with RFC. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjF3hrUXYAAKg7N.jpg

Hurricane has a new champion level scaling on it’s bolt damage so that it’s a stronger choice for all auto attackers later in builds rather than being only useful on the few champions with specific on hit interactions.

Spirit Visage has a slightly broader role with enhanced healing and shielding, this opens up the choice to a lot more shield based tanks.

Gargoyle Stoneplate is heavily reworked to provide a “capstone” item for tanks interested in maximum teamfight durability. Both stoneplate and Warmogs are only good later in a build, and they present a choice between burst defense and regen. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjF32oNUcAA0aVp.jpg

AP Fighter/Assassin Mythics After Mythics we want AP assassins to draw from the normal pool of AP items. For AP Fighters we want them to draw from AP items and flex into tank items late game optionally (like AD fighters). http://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjF4WJGU8AAUFE8.jpg

Staff of Flowing Water expands the buffing ally options beyond Ardent Censer and focuses on AP heavy teams. This item is also very attractive for AP support hybrids like Sona or Lux. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjF4r3eXsAERuAb.jpg

Ixtali Wardstone is a very unique item to fill the unique needs of supports. Rather than having to never build a 6th item in order to have room for control wards, this item can carry them and allow you to complete your build. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjF4t_CX0AIc7tV.jpg

Death’s Dance and Ravenous Hydra Death’s Dance was definitely filling the “everything item” role with damage, vamp, and both resists. We’re refocusing DD into an armor fighter item and opening up Ravenous Hydra to fill the “caster AD vamp item” role. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjGCxzbUYAMe0sz.jpg

Black Cleaver and Blade of the Ruined King Black Cleaver and Blade of the Ruined King are adjusted slightly but still fill the role of “tank busting” item for fighters. Cleaver for spell focused fighters and Bork for auto attackers. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjGC1E8VoBQ45br.jpg

A few more subtle changes that aren’t highlighted on the article about mythics and legendaries: (In thread)

Sheen no longer has mana on it or a mana crystal component. This opens up a lot more users of the item and the items it builds into. (We’re doing a small mana buff for champs that needed it before)

Oblivion orb now offers mages grevious for cheaper than the full morello.

Tear is now a starter item. This let’s you start stacking while you build a mythic and complete seraphs or Muramana second. There is a trade off though it’s weaker for lane with a scaling payoff.

There are a few rune adjustments. We’re not doing any big changes but the transition from CDR to haste means we need to change a few.

Dorans ring restores health if you have no mana on kill. Opening it up to a few more AP champs.

@Necrit94 We also have been doing second and third passes on the names to make them as legendary as they should be. This felt more right for the elite Noxian weapon that it is.

@DanielDrakos TYVM, the team worked super hard to get to this point. (if you find the OP strats DM me, gotta hotfix those out ASAP)
