PSA - in 11.3 we added additional LP penalties for AFKing or leaving games. Repeatedly AFKing will ramp this penalty up over time. With a little more skin in the game, hopefully a potential leaver will think twice about ruining a game for their team. Leavers never prosper

Most devs have had the experience of working hard to get to the top of a game. It's really valuable to see what it takes and how the game feels at that level. It starts to become counterproductive when you try to do both - give your all to making the game and playing it.

@Zelonius Yea, you definitely don't want the other side where the devs aren't engaging with the game enough to understand how it can be better.

@eomrules This is definitely true - League has a full team of high level players that give extremely sharp analysis and try to break / exploit the changes as they are developed. Huge benefit, I can't imagine doing it any other way
