Hello PBE testers
!

As you can likely tell, this is the brand new

League of Legends PBE Subreddit! You all probably know that recently Riot announced they were closing the Official LoL Boards, which is including the PBE boards.

This has led us to the creation of this subreddit, which will be looking to fill that space with the need for PBE feedback. Some of you may be familiar with Reddit, some may be new, but either way, we would appreciate

it if you took a second to read through the post to learn a bit about this space we've created.

Riot Users

You'll find there are some Rioters already floating around who will be interacting here to help collect feedback and bug info they can use. You can tell they are verified by this

appearing next to their name - this way you know they're legit.

You will find Rioters often posting Collective Bug & Feedback Threads for different updates they are testing on the PBE, and would like specific feedback for. Any new skins or chromas brought onto PBE will have one of these threads as the designated discussion and feedback area for each set. You can read about how to give specific feedback on this wiki page. Other posts regarding skin/chroma feedback will be removed.

Rules

Since this is a new space, we're trying to start off with just a basic few rules to keep it simple for everyone, and then build on that as we need. You can find the full details here

  • No personal attacks
  • No calls to action
  • No buying/selling/trading/requesting PBE accounts
  • Submissions must be PBE related
  • All text submissions must have a minimum 150 characters in the body text
  • Rants are not allowed
  • Skin and Chroma suggestions belong in the megathread
  • Posts of individuals breaking League of Legends' ToS are not allowed
  • Bug Reports should follow submission rules
  • FAQs and repost topics will be removed during the same patch cycle
  • Vote Manipulation is NOT allowed

If you are found to be consistently breaking these rules, you may find this

happening to you.

Please note there are also the general Reddit rules which apply to all users across the website

Flairs & Submissions

So something you must know before submitting a post, is what is required to do so. You can read the full details on that here, but here's a short run down

When creating a post, you must add a flair to it from one of these categories, to help people sort through

  • General
  • Bug Report - SR/ARAM/RGM
  • Bug Report - Launcher/Login
  • Bug Report - Store/Client
  • Bug Report - TFT

We have also provided a template required to follow when posting a bug, in order to help get as much detail & info to Riot. Here is the example template, for more details on exactly what needs to be included, please read here

Title: [Rengar] - Can double cast Ferocity

Description:
If Rengar uses 5 point Ferocity E and casts W while the missile is in the air, he will be able to cast an extra W for free with no cooldown penalty.

Steps:
1. Choose Rengar
2. Level up W and E
3. Get 5 points of Ferocity
4. Cast E on a target and smash W over and over
5. Notice he will Roar like a kitty twice and deal the damage. He will not get the heal from 5 point W.

You will find that if your bug report posts do not follow this format or are not flaired correctly, they will be removed and you will be asked to repost it properly.

Other things to note

If you are already using old.reddit, you will have noticed the page is setup wonderfully to look much like the old PBE boards theme. If you haven't noticed that, you may using the new Reddit design. If you would like to see this theme, you can go to old.reddit.com/r/LeaguePBE, or you can change it to the default in your settings

Please note that the design on old.reddit is experimental. If you notice something is looking weird/hard to read, please send us a modmail

If you are looking for some useful PBE resources, you can check the subreddit wiki. There is also a League PBE Discord. Please note this Discord is run separately than the subreddit, so any questions about the Discord, should be sent to through the app to the discord mods

If you have any other questions or general feedback, please comment below, or message us through the subreddit modmail found here. Otherwise just say a little hello below!

Comment from Riot on this transition from boards to this subreddit below

Thanks a ton to all the mods who helped set this new subreddit up! Lots of teams across Riot appreciate the hard work, and we're excited to talk with the PBE community here in the same way we used to on the PBE boards. A few Official Sounding Things just to make sure we're all on the same page:

  • Riot (me) reached out to the r/LeagueofLegends mods about the PBE boards shutdown a bit before we made our public announcement. My guess was that in a vacuum, a ton of that traffic would flood onto r/LeagueofLegends, much of which violates r/LeagueofLegend's rules. I recommended setting up a separate sub to avoid conflict and ensure there's still a hub for PBE conversations.
  • I've provided input to the mods throughout the development of the sub when asked, ex. which flair groupings should be used for bug reports and which Rioters to flair.
  • I also connected the r/LeagueofLegends mods with the three PBE community members on the starting mod team.
  • I briefly owned this sub after reddit transferred it to me from a 5+yr inactive account.

One last important note:

  • Like other wonderful community-owned-and-run hubs for PBE or other Riot games, Riot doesn't own, manage, or control r/LeaguePBE. While the mods set things up to resemble the old boards, and while Rioters will be posting here similar to how we used to post on the PBE boards, no Rioter has mod power here. We're subject to the same subreddit rules as everyone else.

Alright, that's it for the stuffy business. Back to your regularly-scheduled PBE content!
