So, from what I understand, pastry is the lead on the replay files, and this year he moved into more of a producer role, which is why you see such an improvement in the broadcast itself, but it means he doesn't have the same time to make these. Also, good content just takes time so 🤷♂️
If anything I actually have more time to make these!
Mostly though I have significantly more transferrable skills which means I can be more helpful when building it out.
Delays with this stuff are a complicated mix of reasons but the biggest one will always be 'do we have a story worth telling that we can tell now?' and when I looked back at this moment the Features team connected it with current Zven and it all fell into place.
Yeah it does a really good job of contextualizing the importance of this event within his career, and then contextualizing his career in terms of where he's at today. Really good stuff by Riot
I can tell you if that post script didn't exist we probably wouldn't have done this piece right now.
The fact that it's redemptive given current career context is what sells it.
