Think about it. Many people are complaining that nightmare difficulty is absurd because its just increased stats, blah blah yada yada. Well, how do you make it more difficult? Well, if the players decks continue to get stronger, the only way the enemy decks can compete is to get stronger as well. BUT, what if, the players deck isn't always getting stronger? Of course they still are through levels and relics but what if nodes (and the severity and commonality of them depend on the difficulty of the adventure) give the player negative cards (status cards in Slay the spire) in the deck and maybe even negative powers! Then the enemy decks can have a lower power curve to compensate and removing cards becomes more and more valuable (like it should be).
Status cards and powers would add a variety of gameplay and I think would really freshen up the game. But enough about what I am saying, what do you guys think?
