This sub loves to complain about Azir Irelia and call it "oppressive" all the time.
If the deck was actually oppressive, then we would see most of the top competitors playing it and winning with it. Some people on this reddit will argue that competitors aren't playing it because it's being targeted, but that proves the point.
If it was actually oppressive, then targeting it wouldn't matter. In other card games when a truly oppressive deck has existed it was targeted and remained extremely popular and was extremely successful despite being targeted.
I actually think it's a good thing that our community thinks this is what oppressive looks like, because it exemplifies how diverse LOR's metagame is and has been for the life of the game.
We are all lucky and I'm hype for today's tournaments.
