In the 0.9.3 patch notes, regarding to change to The Harrowing, the LoR devs explained that:

Generally, we don’t want players stealing or utilizing opposing champions. LoR’s champion-centric design and deckbuilding can make it extremely frustrating to have your own champions used against you

Meanwhile, the new set brings with it cards that can "draw from the enemy deck".

My problem with such cards is that they don't specify drawing non-champion cards, meaning that, however RNG-based, it's theoretically possible for these cards to draw champions from your opponent's deck.

The fact that it's not marked as a keyword has me worried though.

If this is true, I really don't like that design choice.

Yeah yeah, I know. "But it's not out yet!" "Wait and see."

Seeing as these cards aren't available to play with yet, I sincerely hope I'm wrong about this. Or at least that you can't draw enemy champions from their deck until they have no more non-champion cards remaining.

I may be jumping the gun too soon, but I would rather raise this potential red flag now and be wrong than say nothing and let a potentially hazardous oversight go undetected / unaddressed.

However, if I'm correct about this mechanic allowing you to draw enemy champions, it feels like the kind of RNG-related oversight that doesn't happen very often, but is incredibly frustrating, demoralizing, and not fun when it does happen, somewhat similar to (but perhaps not as egregious as) the old Troop of Elnuks when one player lucked into pulling 2+ additional Elnuks from their deck at no extra cost.

Hello, I'm that dev that you quoted here!

Bilgewater cards that draw from the enemy deck cannot draw Champions. In LoR, creation/generation effects will not get Champs unless specified (Island Navigator will never create Fizz, for example). We do have Sleight of Hand though, which actually does specify "non-champion card". We're a little more explicit there due to the fact that it's the only card that draws from the enemy that could conceivably be able to steal a champion spell. We want it to be clear that it cannot do that. Strong-Arm also specifies follower only, which is a much more understandable and well defined term.

These defaults are really helpful for understandability and consistency, but sometimes only after learning a concept. I think we're getting a ton of good feedback from players around our card text. As we mentioned in the State of the Beta article and in the clarity changes from the latest balance patch - we are working towards improvements in this area.

I can totally can see why this could be confusing just reading the card text, since some specify in different ways, hope that helps!
