Myself and many players really loved the PvE. In particular the use of unique abilities to augment the gameplay. The first iteration was rather shallow and “solved” pretty easy.

Lo and behold, the dev team created a newer and more comprehensive version. Having insane amounts of champions, tons of fun buffs with items and nexus buffs, and a varied game play path, this truly hit the spot. The randomness and variety of buffs really makes the runs different.

I’ve had so much fun trying out random combinations and praying for the RNG god for the best buffs.

My only very minor complaint is that aggro is the best and sometimes only way to win. That said, really amazing work.

Thank you for your detailed thoughts! We're excited that people seem to be enjoying them, and equally excited to keep experimenting in this direction.

More to come. :)

The lab is very fun indeed, but Heimerdinger is so shit, for real. It's impossible to get past Sejuani, your turrets have 1 health, which means you get obliterated with Overwhelm, you have no way of healing, your early game is so bad you can't get control of the board before she drops, and you can't keep killing the board with spells because of the buff they get. I've done 5 runs with him so far, I literally can't get past her.

In my experience, Heimer is almost the hard mode version. He needs the right synergies to set up, but if you can get a good set of powers for him and a defensive secondary champ to keep you alive, he can pop off with T-hexes every round.

I'm curious. Why did you use old items that no longer exist in league? My guess is you started before the item overhaul and decided to keep it?

That's a good question, and a good guess. But actually we pretty intentionally used old-er items since the mode is an experiment, like all Labs! The idea of using items in this way is something we're just starting to explore, so we don't want to anchor players (or ourselves!) too much on the idea in case it evolves in a different direction later on.

...plus, going through some of those old icons was a big nostalgia hit. Didn't quite find the right item to match Heart of Gold, maybe next time! ;)

I havent seen heart of gold yet (I am not sure if you mean you found no fitting effect here) and only finished one playthrough yet. But I could see it giving some effect like the wyrding stone has with +1 mana as long as the unit is in play.

Dig it! And yeah I just worded that poorly; no HoG in this Lab, sadly enough.

About feedback and suggestions? What is a good place to post those?

I am in a german discord server, that also has some german Riot Employees. Is it enough to post it there? Should I search an english one or post on reddit?

If you want some suggestions. A regenerative item with Roundstart: Heal Nexus X might fit here. Maybe even invervating locket with stuff like roundstart, generate 1 spellmana, heal nexus 1 for each spellmana spent.

Reddit is good! Discord can also be good; I'm not sure if there are any Rioters who work directly on LoR in that Discord server, so you might want to try the official LoR one: https://discord.gg/legendsofruneterra

I'm a product lead and engineer, but I got zero design skills. That said, repeatable nexus heals in this mode are tricky business... you can get to a place where players feel like the "best choice" is to stall infinitely from a winning position, and get as many heals as possible. Same thing applies to some cards today though, so it's something we'll have to figure out how to deal with!
