[2021] Tied game against AI in Lab of Legends

Today I was playing Lab of Legends like I normally do. Foundry was up to it's usual tricks spamming spells and annoying me with Shady Characters. They ended up finishing that round by playing Corina Veraza clearing my board and put my nexus health to 1. At the start of the next round I lost my last health point because of a puffcap but I also noticed the enemy had no cards left in their deck when the draw phase came. When the game itself ended as an "Experiment Inconclusive" I assumed my run would end there but it didn't. I got an additional attempt at foundry.

I guess my question is if this is intentional? Is there something in place in this mode that if you tie with an AI you get another shot? Any clarification would be great or even others having a similar thing happen to them so I know I'm not crazy. Thanks in advance
