Confirming that we have folks digging into this issue. If players that have posted here want to add their banned player names/info to their posts in this thread (assuming you haven’t already), it will be helpful for us to potentially help you. Thanks for your patience!
This should absolutely not be the case, and is not how the system is supposed to function. I am so sorry this is so conflicting and frustrating. We are pushing to improve these kinds of confusing communications that are happening through support, as well as making sure ban appeals get more appropriately escalated.
We appreciate all the reports from players that have received bans they are uncertain about, especially those involving “Commerce Locks” or other in-game purchasing features. We want to reassure folks that we have team members actively investigating each and every case that has come up in regards to this situation. Please be aware it may take some time to reach your report; they are being scrutinized one by one, even if your ban appeal was previously rejected, which means this is a time-consuming manual process.
However, we also want to call out that a number of investigated reports have been directly linked to massive gold purchases from known (and banned) accounts tied to third party gold selling sites. Because of this, we would like to remind players that real-money trading (or RMT) with other users or through third parties is never allowed in any Amazon Game, and is a direct violation of the Amazon Games Code of Conduct. Accounts that are found to be in violation of this rule will not be unbanned, and the illegitimately purchased gold will be removed from the economy.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to review and work through player reports. Our customer support agents are on high alert, so we encourage anyone else who may encounter these issues to appeal their bans by sending one ticket through our online support system.
I have mentioned this previously in another thread, but this is incorrect information. The team is working to improve Customer Support communications at scale, as we are fully aware this can cause frustration and confusion.
Unfortunately I do not have an ETA to share, as I would like to reiterate that these are being looked at one by one by members of the team (which is not the normal support process)
Some cases of commerce lock may be tied to RMT, yes
That is what I have been told for RMT transactions happening with substantially large values
That’s why I’ve said “substantially large” instead of an amount
Hey everyone,
Roxx has covered what we have been seeing recently in this post here: Commerce Lock Ban - Permanent - #693 by Roxx
While we appreciate the want to get to the bottom of any suspension or ban a player may receive, Community Managers do not have the tools to investigate these instances and, as such, the forums are not the place to g to have them investigated.
Please reach out to our Game Moderation team via This Link to Support. They are the ones who are able to investigate any and all ban appeals.
As the forums are not the place to appeal bans of any kind, I am locking this thread. Thank you for your understanding.
