We have shared this feedback with the monetization team, as mentioned by fox above, fraud prevention/regional pricing exploiting is a factor the team has to work with when making these pricing decisions.

That was a response to a statement that Steam has the tools to prevent that exploitation.

We actually did have regional pricing prior to launch and it was globally exploited so heavily we had to remove it.
I definitely understand the feedback that pricing has to be reasonable for different markets around the world, but the solutions may not be as easy as they seem. I will continue to provide this feedback to the right teams and see if a solution is possible. Thanks for your patience.
