[2022] Another Permabanned Thread

Okay, this is being dug into further by the team. If anyone wants to add their banned player names/that type of info to their posts in this thread, it will be helpful. Thanks~

We appreciate all the reports from players that have received bans they are uncertain about, especially those involving “Commerce Locks” or other in-game purchasing features. We want to reassure folks that we have team members actively investigating each and every case that has come up in regards to this situation. Please be aware it may take some time to reach your report; they are being scrutinized one by one, even if your ban appeal was previously rejected, which means this is a time-consuming manual process.

However, we also want to call out that a number of investigated reports have been directly linked to massive gold purchases from known (and banned) accounts tied to third party gold selling sites. Because of this, we would like to remind players that real-money trading (or RMT) with other users or through third parties is never allowed in any Amazon Game, and is a direct violation of the Amazon Games Code of Conduct. Accounts that are found to be in violation of this rule will not be unbanned, and the illegitimately purchased gold will be removed from the economy.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to review and work through player reports. Our customer support agents are on high alert, so we encourage anyone else who may encounter these issues to appeal their bans by sending one ticket through our online support system.

Unfortunately I don’t have one to share because there are a small number of highly tuned in folks investigating these one-by-one, which takes time. I know it’s frustrating, but we’re prioritizing diligence here.

And while I’d love to be transparent about these identification markers, unfortunately sharing them makes it much, much easier for bad actors to circumvent them. For example, if we say doing X thing Y way gets you banned, we’ll immediately have folks looking for ways around that; so it’s unfortunately not something that’s easy to be open about.

While we appreciate the want to get to the bottom of any suspension or ban a player may receive, Community Managers do not have the tools to investigate these instances and, as such, the forums are not the place to go to have them investigated.

Please reach out to our Game Moderation team via This Link to Support. They are the ones who are able to investigate any and all ban appeals. Opening multiple tickets is not advised, so if you have submitted an appeal please be patient while our Game Moderation team works through all of the requests they are fielding.

As the forums are not the place to appeal bans of any kind, I am locking this thread. Thank you for your understanding.
