Welcome Crusaders!

Before we begin: I hope you're all staying safe and being kind.

 

For those of you who are joining us for the first time, I'm Erika, the Live Services Manager for Crusaders of the Lost Idols, and I will do my best to answer your Crusaders questions. This Q&A is so you know where to find one of the team to chat Crusaders weekly.

I will be answering questions live for the first hour and then checking back throughout the week.

One more day to party down! There's still time to get in the Halloween Party 2021 sheets, or any other sheet you want to recolour, or fan art, to unlock the idol buff!

Updates:

  • The next update of the game will have a possible solution for the mission screen taking a long time to do the mission save calls.

  • We're currently working on finishing up the Tier 5 objectives for Amusement Park of Doom and Mme. Finklebottom's Revenge for release next week.

  • We've partnered with Desert Bus again this year, so stay tuned for more information on how to donate, starting tomorrow!

  • The Tier 7 version of Emo's New Moon ends on Tuesday, November 9th at Noon Pacific Time (UTC-8.)

  • The recipes for the Carnival of Sorrows crusaders will be available after Noon Pacific Time (UTC-8) on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021.

  • The Tier 7 version of Kaines' Dinner of Doom will begin around Thursday, November 18th, 2021.

  • In case you missed it, we're doing Q&A streams for Crusaders on the CNE Games twitch channel now! VODs are available on Twitch while they last and we also post the stream to our Codename youtube playlist.

  • Thursday, November 11th is Remembrance Day and so the office will be closed. I've cancelled next week's Q&A, and the Q&A will be back on the 18th.

End of Life for Flash in Browsers

Crusaders is available to play through the version on Steam, and through a downloadable launcher on our Codename Games website.

Note: The launcher will work with Wine to run the .exe on Linux. Otherwise, you can try using the Steam version.

 

Please put in a support ticket if you've found a bug with the game. You can submit a ticket using the "Contact Support" button from the Guidebook/Support menu in the game. It will open a new window or a new tab in your browser and you do need to have cookies enabled.

We just did a talent update in September, so we're not planning for any more talents to be added in 2021.

The next round of talents will be sometime next year.

I believe we're sticking with same donation levels as in previous years, but we'll be able to confirm that tomorrow when the donations go live.

  • $10 for the Crusaders and their Common gear

  • $15 for the Crusaders and their Uncommon gear

  • $25 for the Crusaders and their Rare gear

  • $50 for the Crusaders and their Epic gear

Desert Bus Crusaders don't have recipes in the recipe system. If you donate for the Epic level of gear, the Crusaders do have legendary items.

Is there any chance you can get a player's resolution settings to save? I play at 0.85 res, and every time I relaunch the game, it resets to the default 1. I play on Steam, if that matters.

We've tried to get the resolution to save, but that prevented the game from loading for most players. I'll add your vote to the item on the suggestion list.

SuperCasey as in a superhero skin for Casey? She already has a skin, so it may be a while before she gets another one.

You also said that you will bring the rewards from the reward track under level 40 which you also didn't do, so there are many extremely important issues that need fixing this season and who knows when you will fix them if you ever fix them...

The TM's don't click fast enough the abilities so TONS of opportunities wasted because of that...

Thank you for the feedback on the season so far.

We changed the point scaling so that there is some more benefit to going deeper.

The rune rewards have been moved down from level 70 and above, and we added 2 extra rune rewards to the reward track, with version .309.

There are also the dungeon points missions in the mission system to help with earning points this season.

We don't currently plan on making any further changes for season 5.

There will be the 100% dungeon points buff making a return for over the holidays.

You get the crafting materials for the gear being replaced if you're upgrading or being a duplicate if you're buying Epic again for the Crusaders you already own.

A superhero skin would be neat. I'll pass it along to Kat for her list of skin choices.

Casey has a Swamp Thing inspired Flora skin. :)

I've been having problems with runes for a few months now. every time I go into the rune menu it lags very bad or freezes up completely forcing me to cntrl+alt+del to kill the app. both my bf and I play on identical laptops though he plays on steam and I play thru your app. he has no issues with the runes page.

Hi Laurie,

The lag on the rune screen has been coming up, but we haven't had a chance to look into it yet. Wilson has been tackling the slow mission calls when not working on updates at the moment.

Is it any time you open the rune screen while the game is open? Or is it more laggy to open the rune screen right on loading the game, or after you've been playing the game a while?

I'm getting a lot of "searching for loot" issues, whilie the "level all Crusaders" button and completing missions now take AGES to finish. I dunno if those are things related to servers in the first place but... what's going on? It's a tad bit frustrating to be honest.

3) Forgot to mention earlier: Matt the Astronaut is great! :)

4) Sorry for nagging on this particular thing from time to time but... any plans on making a Robot Crusader soon (and fewer Animals, there's honestly too many of those by now)? Last one we got was Ysjorgnak (and then arguably the skin for Langley). I know Kat hates making them but still... maybe make an android one so she doesn't have to care about drawing actual robots :D

No worries. Thank you for stopping by. :)

1) Glad it's helping.

2) When we tried putting out the update yesterday, that made the servers rather hot so we pulled back the update and Wilson is reinvestigating the waiting for server pop-up for missions issues. The Buy Max buttons have to check all the Crusaders on the bench, so they're always going to be a bit slow, but I'll flag it for a pass at some point.

3) Oh nice. Yeah, Matt seems to be going over well with the community.

4) Nothing planned currently for a Robot add, but I'll keep the request in mind.

So, donations are now live on the Desert Bus Crusaders webpage.

From now until they stop their livestream (ending date varies based on money raised), you can donate from any of the 4 donation buttons near the bottom of the Crusaders page, and then once you've donated, you should receive an email to the email address associated with the donation which will contain a code to redeem in the game for the Crusaders.
