Before we begin today, I hope you are safe wherever you are, and that you are in a position to take care of yourselves during this time of change.

 

For those of you who are joining us for the first time, I'm Erika, the Live Services Manager for Crusaders of the Lost Idols and Community Manager for Codename Entertainment, and I will do my best to answer your Crusaders questions. This Q&A is so you know where to find one of the team to chat Crusaders weekly.

I will be answering questions live for the first hour and then checking back throughout the week.

You know, I keep thinking that would be a weird Crusader power to have, but it would mean players change up their formation if they want to take advantage of it. It would have to be more powerful than Time Warps to compete though. We'll keep it in mind.

You're welcome for the code.

I would like to implement some of the chat suggestions that players are making for the launcher. I'll try to carve out some time in the development schedule for that.

The issue with leveling a Crusader should be fixed, if you've reloaded the game since Thursday.

If you're still experiencing an issue, more details on exactly when it's occurring would be helpful.

We do have a chat in the Codename and Steam version of the game.

You toggle it with the in-game Options menu, with the Toggle Chat option.

We can sync up the timers if you'd like. It's probably a result of Daylight Savings being in there.

The dungeons will end, along with the buffs, but like last season you can finish out a run after the season is over.

You probably disabled it at some point in the past.

Just hold Ctrl or Shift and click the ability again to re-enable it, like the tool-tip mentions.

Hi cschwa179,

If you're on a dungeon objective after the season ends, you'll still get all the credit for it being finished when you do finish it.

So since it's a dungeon objective, if you clear area 13,000 that achievement should increment properly.

EDIT : forgot to mention something else. In the rune interface, is it possible to add a feature to fuse all runes to a certain level ? Lets say I have 50 Lv1 air rune and 60 for fire rune. I select the targeted level I wish then press a button and all of them are fused.

The team is doing as well as we can be. We're very happy to be in a place like BC, where we've only got mask mandates and haven't been fully locked down like other places. And life goes on.

Speeding up opening 1 chest isn't currently on our radar, but I'll note down it was requested.

We do want to add some ways to speed up rune crafting. I'll note down the suggestion to consider as an option.

Bounty of Idols isn't a mistake. It was meant to make objectives and other things without bonus boss Idols feel more rewarding.

Dungeon objectives with the Idol bonus still provide more Idols though.

1) Season 3 and the event schedule are the current priorities. We'll be trying to do the Tier 4 11ths and Tier 5 objectives this year though.

2) Sale on skins? You mean like have the skin be the weekend buff sweetener?

We tried to have it save, but that actually prevented most players from loading the game. Adobe Air is fun. So you do have to change the scaling each time you load the game.

Hi xavfin,

So beating area 600 on the tier 6 events is equivalent to being able to beat area 1800 on a normal free play.

So roughly e350 DPS to clear it.

We plan to take a look at the achievements once most players are moved, so late Jan, more likely early February at this point though.

We don't give out formulas for something like that but the players have a challenge token drop breakdown on the wiki I believe.

Scaling the dungeons was a theme of last week's Q&A too, to save players time. We'll consider it if/when we look at goals higher than area 14,000 for collections.

You can overwrite saved formations if you want to clean them up.

Yes, we're aware that not every player can tackle tier 6. If a player isn't ready for it in the event this cycle, then they can try when the event comes around again.

In the meantime, you can always use the mousewheel to scroll the list, or just hold the Shift key while clicking the arrows to cycle Crusaders, to move all 8 Crusaders at once.

Chef Casey's skin was an event objective reward, that got added to the Skin Store after some time had passed.

But yes, we hope to add more skins to the skin store outside of just adding the event skins, once Kat gets ahead on art again.

You're welcome for the code.

1) The original Sprint talent in Tier 4 has your max Sprint area. The additional talents are increasing that number as you buy them, and completing From the Ashes also changes the value seen in that Talent. The Sprint icon in the buff list also tells you how many areas you can sprint. But we can look at adding your max Sprint area in more places.

2) It's one of the requests for when we've got time to change the mission screen layout. I'll add your vote.

Considering that I have been playing for several years now-along with many other folks. I would assume no one has completed that one yet. Mission Impossible, as denoted by the name, was put in as a joke by Justin, since it did seem impossible at the time. So it only awards 5% on completion, like the joke on Domo Arigato for clicking 1 million times and it only awards 1% versus the previous clicking achievements giving higher amounts.

Changing the value isn't something that was in our plans, but I'll note down the request.

A teensy bit of rescaling of the portraits and/or the highlighted mission area might give us twenty portraits per page - vastly reducing the amount of scrolling required for every mission.

Last thing: The "mission doubler" runes feel incredibly underpowered. Even at level 15 it only amounts to a 3.75% chance, or 3/80. That's ridiculously slim for a rune that takes so much effort and so many resources to get. I'd like to propose that they get a buff in the following manner:

Level 1: .25%

Level 2: .5%

Level 3: 1%

Level 4: 2%

Level 5: 4%

Level 6-14: 2% gain per level, with 14 being 22%

Level 15: 25%

I think that sort of gain would be commensurate with the investment of runes and catalysts.

As many Crusaders as we have time for by the time we want to release season 3.

Thinking that some people who slowly gain more idols, would like a chance of getting the achievements to reach level 25 in the crypt, as they may get the DPS/speed to be able to get to 25 in the clocktowers at a later date.

Once we've released 4 seasons, the themes will repeat.

Our current plan is that we'll have new season completion achievements for seasons 5 and onward, with the originals being hidden if a player didn't earn them.

Something like "Next token at area XXX" or "X more areas for the next token". I guess it could be merged with the challenge icon that shows how many challenge tokens you have already reached in the current run or placed below it.

It's nothing super urgent but it would be a nice feature that makes it easier to estimate if it would be worth it to push to one more token or not.
