Before we begin: I hope you're all staying safe and being kind.

 

For those of you who are joining us for the first time, I'm Erika, the Live Services Manager for Crusaders of the Lost Idols, and I will do my best to answer your Crusaders questions. This Q&A is so you know where to find one of the team to chat Crusaders weekly.

I will be answering questions live for the first hour and then checking back throughout the week.

  • We've been working on Season 5 this week.

  • The Tier 6 version of Sasha's Schoolhouse Scourge will launch today, Thursday, September 16th, 2021, featuring our new Cello Friend.

End of Life for Flash in Browsers

Crusaders is available to play through the version on Steam, and through a downloadable launcher on our Codename Games website.

Note: The launcher will work with Wine to run the .exe on Linux. Otherwise, you can try using the Steam version.

 

Please put in a support ticket if you've found a bug with the game. You can submit a ticket using the "Contact Support" button from the Guidebook/Support menu in the game. It will open a new window or a new tab in your browser and you do need to have cookies enabled.

 

Have a treat! SELF-ZOOM-RITE-SKIP awards 2 All Tier Educational Jeweled chests. If you want the chests to contain gear for Shir Brio, then don't open the chests until you own them. Expires Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at 9:59 AM Pacific Time (UTC-7.)

You're welcome for the chests.

If you press the P key on the keyboard after you've reset the world, you'll see the play history entry for the Material Mining materials added.

It's on the to-do list to make it show up on the reset screen as well, as players have made it clear they don't all know about the play history hot key.

So, we're going to try and hit Sept 29th as the launch date. I'm hoping we don't slip, but we do have a little wiggle room if the tech somehow takes longer than estimated.

So far, the idea is it will just be a random level 7 rune awarded on completing the objective.

So the objective reward will display a mystery rune icon, and then on completing the objective, you'll see what rune you've gotten.

Welcome back to the game.

We don't have plans to re-release the mobile version, and also you can't re-add an app to the app stores once you've removed it from sale.

The game is desktop-only now. There's no plans to make it available in browsers again.

The Yogscast event won't be returning, but I hope to deal with the achievements at some point.

The Yogscast Crusaders are available to earn through the Mission System with the Recruit Missions.

The Desert Bus Crusaders are only available through donations on the Desert Bus website when the donation window is open in November. We're hoping to work with them again this year and we'll keep everyone updated about that.

You're welcome for the code.

1) Game is doing fine for the moment.

2) So far, the plan is to keep updating the game until it is no longer financially viable to do so, and at that point spend some tech time to put it in maintenance mode and keep the servers running from there, for whoever is left playing it.

Ah, events.

No, they won't share the same currency.

The challenge token store and the dungeon depot offer chests to get event Crusader gear outside of their events, along with the mission system.

No more skins from event objectives.

There will still be skins from other sources, like the Dungeons, and occasional updates to the Skin Store.

We are not planning on adding offline area progression to Crusaders. It's not something we have the resources to do.

I had a whole list of filters I wanted added with that update, but Wilson wants to do a proper nested filter list so it looks better. I'll flag mission duration as something that players want when we get to that.

Idle Champions is able to support a larger dev team than Crusaders. Plus, they have like over 40 familiars and multiple parties, so sorting the familiar list is kinda important.

We just have our one developer, so we do what we can.

Does the Crusaders taskmaster roster require filters?

Hahaha, the games are in different languages, so it wouldn't be that easy.

But having the K hotkey work like that would be fun. I'll add the vote to the item on the suggestion list.

Rune merging: I don't see us adding a merge all-all runes button, since there's no unmerging runes. That feels like a not great button.

You can merge runes quickly on a Crusader's rune slot that has a rune equipped.

Or are these requests coming from an inventory management space?

Yeah, dealing with the buff bubbles to see things isn't great, and it's something I want changed. So it may actually happen.
