Hi Baka-gaijin,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I'm sorry the new patch hasn't been enjoyable for you. I checked the database and your MMR is definitely overinflated since you always won your matches in the past. And unfortunately, as you realized, your MMR doesn't adjust if you quit a match. So if you only finish games that you are winning, your MMR will only ever increase, therefore making matches unenjoyable for you. Also, having a lot of matches under your belt makes your MMR move a lot slower, SO...

I have reset your MMR so that it can settle where it should be much faster.
Also, for the next patch I will make it so MMR adjusts when a player leaves a match to avoid this sort of situation going forward.

No problem! And nope you aren't paranoid :D

Looking at your match history since I adjusted your rank, I see that you got 1st 3 times, 2nd once, and quit 1 game -- so you must be referring to something that happened in that game.

But anyway, yes -- there are players who still win consistently even against the improved AI on max settings. My goal was to try to create AI that no one could beat and then scale them back to all levels of play (I was unable to make them THAT good, but I got close). The AI have ranks and are treated the same way as players to the matchmaker, so over time, their ranks will settle where they should. And once I make quitting actually adjust your rank, the system will just keep improving over time.

All of this said, I'm going to take a look at how the AI ranks are settling now to make sure that it isn't putting disproportionately good bots in games that it shouldn't.
