[2021] Tergrid vs Shark Typhoon

So opponent had a Tegrid attacking me with menace. I had a 2/2 on board and was ambushing him with a 3/3 cycled shark. I cycled which makes me discard and draw a card, opponents gets my Shark Typhoon on his board...

He says "Nice"

I say "Oops"

He says "Good Game"

I concede

Sneaky card man, I'm not even mad.

I never considered that cycling counts as discarding.

It being so easy to miss that is why so many cards from the Amonkhet block read "whenever you cycle or discard a card", which is technically rather redundant! #wotc_staff
