I’m sure they are aware of bugs and will be handling requests as quick as they can.

Yes it sucks to lose gems, but have some faith on the first day of a set release!

Edit: you can also wait for the fix wizards is implementing. It sounds like some sort of roll back/ resolution will be taking place. Be patient, we are all excited for this set.

We plan to do an automatic grant to MTG Arena players who had their draft and sealed events forcefully ended as a part of today's extended maintenance.

This includes players who may have received event rewards based on their current record when the event was forcefully closed. Players will not need to submit a support ticket to receive their reimbursement. The timing of this automatic reimbursement is TBD.
