- Netdecking isn't a crime. Quit acting like it's the end of the world haha.
- They're practicing? I'm not going to take a deck into ranked that I'm not comfortable piloting.
@Ravendreams:Its frankly absurde for you to advocate otherwise, you are basically saying that if someone designs a game then they have to make it fun for everyone and every playstyle out there. That frankly is impossible to do.This is a pretty gross misinterpretation of what I said. Let's try an analogy then to make it a little more clear. Let's use Super Smash Bros. I don't particularly like Fox, no items, Final Destination. What you're saying is I should just suck it up and learn to like that, instead of allowing me the option to play with all the items and characters and stages. That's what we're arguing about here. People are asking for a way to play fun, casual games, and all they're getting in response by the community is stuff like "lol no, the game was meant to be played 1v1 Final Destination nub, git gud." Could Nintendo have put out a game that was nothing but Final Destination? Sure, they don't have to do anything. But Smash Bros is undoubtedly a better game because it doesn't cater exclusively to the hardcore fighting game crowd.
I never said all games had to appeal to all people. That's silly. But it's also silly for WotC to simply ignore that a huge portion of their audience would like to play the game in a certain way, and currently there is no way to do that beyond the almost useless direct challenge feature.
I'd argue that MTG Arena IS fun... The time it isn't fun is when you lose, especially losing to something that you don't think you should lose to (RDW, Control, "netdecks", "tournament decks", etc). That's what the majority of the posts are about.

The enjoyment I get myself is from PLAYING the game. I find that most of these posts are from frustrated people, who aren't getting to actually play the game. I've been playing long enough and i understand this will happen. Sometimes a person just has to vent their frustration. If you don't vent out, it bottles up. This is where rage quits happens the most IMO. Entering into a game where you can't actually play the game is rough. Table top you can say "hey, no control decks", on here you can't.
Maybe as a forum admin you could alleviate some of the issue of multiple posts in the forum and allowing an outlet that won't affect other players. Maybe a pinned post "Vent your frustrations here" or something along those lines. Where those looking to vent can keep it all in one place, and those who take offense to that type of post can avoid
That is a great idea, but unfortunately people venting their frustration about x deck is often received as a personal attack on person who likes x deck. People want to defend their favorite things, ya know? Mega threads also turn into hashing out the same thing over and over and over and over again (look at the shuffler thread).
I will not be taking down non-aggressive/genuine venting posts... For now.

Sounds good to me. I know that personally I just have to vent out at times, and having someone respond with similar fustration often makes me feel better. I can't vent to my room mate as he doesn't play the game. Last time i did so with a thread, i tried to be as non provocative as i could. I don't to start a war on any thread with my posts. I like discussion. Discussion leads to positive results. If nothing else, than for a bit better understanding of the other side. Agressive defending, attacking and closed mindedness leads no where.
It can be a productive discussion if a question is asked. That is what a lot of venting posts are missing, which is why I have a problem with them.
