This claims all of the cards will be from the current Standard set, while the latest WotC news said 1 (correction: 2) from BRO and the rest from any Standard set. I suppose we'll have to wait for a WotC confirmation to get the exact details on this.

  • 1 Mythic chosen from all of Standard
  • 2 Rares (with normal chance to upgrade) chosen from BRO
  • 3 Rares (with normal chance to upgrade) chosen from all of Standard

All duplicate protected, as normal for packs. (For nitty-gritty: Duplicate protection here is working across all of Standard, not on a per-set basis. If you have all of BRO, then the 2 slots there will pull from the rest of Standard. No gems until you're totally rare complete across Standard.)

(We're reaching out to get that article adjusted)

Does this count for single packs bought?

Yes, think of it like a value card from a coffee or sandwich chain - every purchase gets you a stamp on your card, get 10 stamps and you get a Golden Pack

You know you've played Arena since Beta when you read something like this and think "that's awesome!" and then immediately get nervous and start looking around for the catch. Packs are still 1K gold, right? Quests and daily win rewards are the same, right?

No catch, no other systems or prices are changing. Pack prices, WC track, quests, etc. all stay the same.

Will you be adding more quest variety anytime soon? It would be nice to gain life, mill cards, put counters etc. Something to spice it up a little.

We experimented with things like this back in beta, and we found that it was very easy to make quests that created frustrating games. We had a "Make 30 thopter tokens" quest, for example, that lead to people playing frustrating token spam decks with no real wincon just to complete the quest quickly.

I agree with you that "spice is nice", and we're interested in other ways to get there, but there are no current plans to shift up the quests.
