@Forstride Something I have pondered in the team is how mods would work with it. Is the problem for you trying to figure out how to fit your biomes within the world (especially with multiple mods trying to add biomes), or more specifically just the complexity of the system in general?

@Forstride If it's the first point (being how to fit mod biomes together from multiple mods), I've been thinking a potential approach is for the community to come to a consensus of using an extra/new noise source, perhaps "uniqueness" or more explicitly "mod".

@Forstride Each mod would essentially have their own target in that noise source, and it would be a very slow moving noise meaning that whole areas of the world would use that mod's biomes, but other areas would use another mod's biomes.

@Forstride But yeah on the second point, thinking of things in the system can be tricky. Coordinating terrain shapers to target the same biomes as the biome selection can be hard to wrap your head around sometimes.

@RiosidYT What do you mean? Mobs should only spawn in total darkness, on both platforms. That wasn't cancelled.

@JThorsbyEsq This is specifically a Java patch addressing a problem on the Java platform. The render distance reducing on Bedrock is a separate thing.
