I, like anyone else in the world, need a job and the ability to support myself. There are no good alternatives, and crypto certainly isn't one, being just more of the exact thing I'm criticizing.

@Web3Magnetic @veles_eth @cubantobacco @sassal0x Myself, I worked on mods for almost 10 years that were completely free and had no interest in ownership, assigning value to it or selling it in any way. I am far from being a hypocrite in my positions with how I distribute my own creations.

@Helm_ll @Fluttermind Talking behaviourally, it feels like the dichotomy between safety and uncertainty. I think even power, often times, is just a form of higher safety and comfort - for such individuals, they may aspire for power due to a level of uncertainty, and this breeds division

@Helm_ll @Fluttermind It's a very basic look at why even in a meaningless life, we struggle with choosing to stop torturing each other. Meaning almost plays no part, because in the end we want our most basic needs.

@Helm_ll @Fluttermind I know this goes pretty close to "life feeds on life" as a variation, but I think there is some nuance there - more complex life forms clearly do not NEED to feed on their own (so to speak), but we do due to whatever culture we have of mistrust. There is no safety net.

@Helm_ll @Fluttermind I get you now, well the why is more complicated than I can ever grasp and it's different in literally every place on this earth. I struggle with that for sure.
