Parity testing. Latest Java vs latest bedrock vs Java 21w44a. Looking good so far. Hmmm…. but some time we should look inte forest density. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FFbmnbeWYAM2gQz.jpg
Cave parity also seems good still. Unfortunately we only managed to get parity on noise caves, not carvers. But that's better than nothing, and overall the caves look pretty similar on both platforms now. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FFbr3boWYAMZhSq.jpg
Almost looks like an amplified world right here, but it is just a normal world. Cool! Also glad we got around to fixing the rain thing. Before, the rain cycle would start over every time someone sleeps. So it would basically never rain on servers where people sleep every night. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FFb3vK7XoAM3C2q.jpg
Found a shipwreck, led me to a buried treasure, found waterbreathing potion in there, used it to explore ocean caves, got reeeally deep under the ocean, and found an entrance to a lush cave system overlooking a massive cavern with waterfalls and lavafalls. Wow! http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FFcD66-XIAM78ig.jpg
@_LadyAgnes Oh nice to hear that your upgrade worked! That makes me feel less worried about mine. Even though we tested this during development I can't help being a little paranoid about things breaking in such an old world :)
@carsndwater @spheric_acid Nope, didn't forget. Decided not to (for now), because it turns out rivers in deserts have the same problem, and fixing that would require new river biomes or some other nifty solution that was out of scope for this update. So we'll see, maybe sometime in the future :)
